This past month, CircadiaOS announced the launch of its software-only sleep optimization platform, designed to connect wearable sleep data with compatible smart thermostats to create personalized overnight temperature schedules.
Although sleep science states that the body’s temperature needs change throughout the night, most people sleep at one fixed thermostat setting. CircadiaOS analyzes readily available sleep and recovery data to determine how different temperature patterns affect each user.
The platform supports leading wearables including Apple Watch, Oura, WHOOP, Garmin, and Fitbit. Premium users can also connect their smart thermostat from brands such as Nest, Ecobee, Honeywell + 30 more.
CircadiaOS begins with a calibration period to establish a baseline. It then tests controlled temperature adjustments and evaluates changes in metrics such as sleep efficiency, HRV, REM sleep, total sleep time, and nighttime awakenings.
Unlike hardware-based sleep systems that rely on bulky bedside pods, water-filled mattress covers, and additional electronics around the bed, CircadiaOS works with technology that users already own.
Built by three health-obsessed founders, CircadiaOS aims to make personalized sleep thermoregulation more accessible.
CircadiaOS is currently available for iPhone. Learn more at https://circadiaos.com/
