BLK BOX, the largest independent strength brand in the UK, has reported record FY2025 results, delivering approximately £27 million in annual revenue – and 35% year-on-year growth from 2024 – cementing its position as an emerging global leader in the sector, amidst the soaring popularity of strength training.

The brand’s growth comes at a time of rapid expansion for the health and fitness club sector, which is projected to be worth $234.8 billion by 2034¹, while the global strength training market is expected to reach $16.8 billion by 2036². This momentum is accelerated by rising participation in strength training, which increased 30% YoY in 2025³, ranked among the top five fitness activities globally.

Amidst strong demand for the brand’s equipment, in the last year alone, BLK BOX has delivered nearly 1,000 training facilities across 13 countries, including the UK, France, Spain, UAE, USA, Denmark, Germany, and Sweden, and supplies 90% of all Premier League football clubs, as well as many of the world’s largest gym chains, such as PureGym, and continues to expand through notable contract wins across operators such as Fitness Park, Nuffield Health and Solo60.

BLK BOX was founded in Belfast in 2012 by Gregory Bradley, after he identified a gap in the market for athlete-focused training facilities, and it has since experienced rapid growth from a challenger brand into an emerging global performance leader.

Key growth metrics:

  • Record revenue of £27M for 2025
  • 35% year-on-year growth
  • Nearly 1,000 training facilities delivered by BLK BOX in 2025 alone, across 13 countries, including the UK, France, Spain, UAE, USA, Denmark, Germany, and Sweden
  • BLK BOX now supplies 90% of all Premier League football clubs
  • 60 new team members added in 2025, bringing total headcount to 160+

BLK BOX Global Expansion:

Behind its record performance, BLK BOX has built a robust operational platform to support global expansion. Its 130,000 sq ft Belfast headquarters houses manufacturing, warehousing, product development, and fulfilment, with 160 employees across the business.

To scale globally while protecting the brand’s identity, founder Gregory Bradley brought in Ben Stocks in 2022 to help guide the next phase of BLK BOX. Ben, who previously led cycling ecommerce giant, Chain Reaction Cycles, worked closely with Greg and the leadership team to strengthen operating systems, simplify the product ecosystem and build repeatable processes to support global expansion.

These changes have enabled BLK BOX to serve international gym chains, elite training spaces for teams including West Ham FC and Aston Villa FC, as well as institutions such as Loughborough Powerbase, home to Olympians and the UK’s leading para-sport talent. The company has also partnered with the ATHX Games, alongside Adidas, upgrading arenas, enhancing athlete experience, and building reliable competition infrastructure at a time when functional training and hybrid fitness events are booming.

BLK BOX is now positioned to fund next-generation product lines, expand globally, and pursue its five-year revenue target of $100 million, driven by its emerging US presence, and expansion in Europe, the Middle East and APAC.

Founder Gregory Bradley commented “What began in Belfast to provide better equipment for athletes and communities has scaled into a global business with clear ambition. This year’s results reflect the progress we have made, the partners we work with, and the culture supporting our next phase of growth.”

The company has also launched its inaugural Pursuit of Better Magazine, a digital and limited-edition print publication that explores the beliefs, disciplines, and systems underpinning BLK BOX’s growth. Combining athlete, partner, and business perspectives, the report reflects how a commitment to better training environments, inclusive performance, and operational discipline continues to shape the brand’s evolution as it scales globally.
