Choolaah Indian BBQ, known for its approachable, crave-worthy take on Indian cuisine, is launching its boldest menu yet in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, January 21, featuring the all-new Build Your Own Bowl and the long-anticipated Butter Masala. Already a guest favorite in Cleveland, the menu brings vibrant garnishes, iconic masalas, and more ways than ever to customize.

FIRST 100: Free Choolaah for a Year
To celebrate the new menu, and eight years on Centre Ave, Choolaah is bringing back the promotion that started it all.
On Friday, January 23, the first 100 guests (ages 18+) to order in store will receive Free Choolaah for a Year in the form of 12 golden tickets redeemable throughout 2026.
Guests may begin lining up outside Choolaah on Centre Ave at 8:00 AM. Doors open at 10:45 AM and the first 100 eligible guests to place an in-store order will receive their golden ticket prize.
It’s a throwback to Choolaah’s earliest days, and a thank-you to the Pittsburgh community that’s been craving YUM since day one.
A Flavor-First Refresh Inspired by Tradition
The new Build Your Own Bowl includes five fresh additions – ribbon romaine, fire-roasted corn, pickled onions, diced red onions and a purple cabbage cucumber slaw – adding a cool crunch to every bite and a boost of fresh, feel-good flavor. Guests can also tailor their heat with fresh serrano peppers or signature hot sauces.
Rooted in the authentic Indian tradition of thali, meals are meant to be complete, balanced and bursting with variety. Guests can now mix and match with up to two proteins and masalas, plus their choice of signature sauce will be drizzled right on the bowl.
Butter Masala, Finally Here
After nearly a decade of guest requests, Choolaah delivers its boldest masala yet. It’s rich, velvety and worth the wait. Butter Chicken, Butter Paneer, Butter anything-you-want.
To accompany these flavors, Choolaah introduces Sweet Tango, a bold new sauce with a touch of sweetness, and welcomes back the fan-favorite Raita Yogurt Sauce for a cool, creamy contrast.
