Stress and energy management platform Welltory announces the launch of its free, science-backed album aimed at helping women recover from chronic exhaustion – without adding another task to their already overloaded schedules. The release follows new findings from Welltory’s global dataset of 16 million users, revealing that American women are reporting stress, anxiety, and energy depletion at rates two to three times higher than men.

Welltory looked at data from 8 million women, and found a striking difference in stress, energy levels, and recovery between men and women. A Welltory study shows that American women report stress and burnout at about twice the rate of men. The data reveals key areas where women are struggling:

  • Low energy: 18.3% of women report running on empty, compared to just 9.0% of men.
  • High stress: 13.9% of women experience elevated stress levels – more than double the 6.1% of men.
  • Feeling drained: 13.4% of women say they’re physically and emotionally depleted, versus 5.3% of men.
  • Anxiety: 10.4% of women report persistent anxiety, nearly three times the 3.7% of men.

“These numbers indicate a systemic health crisis, not individual burnout,” said Dr. Anna Elitzur, psychiatrist and lead researcher on the project. “Women are not just tired — they’re physiologically depleted, and most wellness solutions simply demand more of their limited energy.”

In response, Welltory developed and tested an unconventional solution: a series of guided audio tracks that transform routine household chores into moments of physiological recovery. Unlike traditional meditation or fitness programs, the album requires no extra time commitment. It guides listeners to focus on interoceptive awareness – the ability to sense internal bodily signals – during daily activities like washing dishes or folding laundry. Drawing from neurological and longevity research, this approach shows that mindful physical activity can regulate the autonomic nervous system, lower stress, and build resilience.

In a pilot study with 61 participants, Welltory’s team observed significant improvements in body awareness – a marker linked to lower chronic stress and better emotional regulation. Within 72 hours, participants reported higher body awareness and reduced tension – a key step in countering chronic stress. Participants also reported measurable improvements across key areas: 54% showed gains in emotional wellbeing, 53% in body awareness, and 56% in activity perception.

Released in time for Stress Awareness Day, the album features nine tracks and over 250 minutes of functional music designed to align with everyday routines. Each track is grounded in neuroscience and created to support specific mental states. The rhythms reflect the natural pace of common household activities – from washing dishes to folding laundry to preparing meals – helping listeners stay present and connected to their movements. To keep the experience engaging, the music blends different genres and textures. This prevents the brain from tuning out, allowing users to maintain awareness and mindfulness without needing to consciously focus.

The album is available now on Spotify and Apple Music.
