NFL Player Leads Bold Underwear March to Texas Capitol for Testicular Cancer Awareness

NADS and Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation Rally Crowd in Austin to Drive Conversation Around Men’s Health

Austin, TX / Apr 23, 2026 / NADS

In the pouring rain this past Sunday, a crowd of men marched down one of Austin’s busiest streets wearing nothing but underwear, drawing attention, sparking conversation, and delivering a clear message: check your nads.

The march, organized by NADS in partnership with the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation, culminated at the Texas State Capitol as part of Testicular Cancer Awareness Month. The initiative aimed to break the stigma surrounding men’s health and encourage early detection of testicular cancer—the most common cancer among men ages 15–44, with a survival rate of over 95% when caught early.

Cars honked. Pedestrians stopped and stared. The spectacle was impossible to ignore—by design.

“We knew this issue needed more than a quiet message,” said Daniel Baird, Co-Founder of NADS. “Men aren’t having these conversations, so we created a moment they couldn’t ignore. If this march gets even a few more people to check themselves, it’s worth it.”

The event exceeded its $25,000 fundraising goal in support of the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation. Adding to the impact, Alex Singleton, NFL linebacker for the Denver Broncos and testicular cancer survivor, joined the march in solidarity. Singleton also addressed the crowd, sharing his personal story and emphasizing the importance of early detection.

His presence elevated the event from a bold visual statement to a deeply personal and meaningful call to action.

The march quickly gained traction on social media, with real-time footage of participants walking through the rain in underwear capturing widespread attention and engagement. The viral nature of the moment reinforced the campaign’s goal: to bring visibility, urgency, and action to an often-overlooked health issue.
