What led you to pursue this opportunity?

AM: I was born in the UK but only embarked on my transformative health journey when I moved to Australia in 2011. Facing weight gain, chronic fatigue, and a lack of energy, I tried traditional dietary approaches but only found limited relief.

Searching for a way out of my personal health crisis, I began to delve into biohacking — a field that would soon become my passion and expertise. It was my quest for better health that led me to uncover the power of certain techniques, igniting a fervent commitment to understanding and applying the principles.

Frustrated by the subpar quality of biohacking products on the market, in 2017, my wife Katie and I co-founded BON CHARGE with a mission to challenge the status quo.

How did you turn your idea into a company?

AM: Our first product, Blue Light Blocking Glasses, was backed by the latest academic literature. I sent 10 pairs out to leading biohackers and asked them to try them in place of their current blue light glasses, tracking the results on their sleep trackers. The results were a resounding success, with sleep scores dramatically improving.

I knew we were onto something special, and our first order resulted from a simple post I made on my Facebook account. Since then, we’ve been knocking down milestones with a lean but high-performing team and expanding to red light, pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF), and sauna technologies — all without taking any outside investment.

How big can this get?

AM: The global wellness market is booming in 2025, providing BON CHARGE with massive opportunities to reach new customers and continue to grow.

The US light therapy market is projected to grow to nearly $449M by 2030, driven by red light therapy’s role in beauty and wellness routines.

Biohacking and sleep optimization are also becoming increasingly mainstream. Consumers are actively seeking science-backed solutions to enhance their health, performance, and recovery — making our core offerings more relevant than ever.

At BON CHARGE, we foster a proactive approach to well-being, emphasizing the power of consistent practice, where wellness becomes not just a goal but a way of life.

As part of our commitment to our community, we are constantly evolving, researching, and developing new and improved products to ensure our customers have access to the most effective and cutting-edge wellness solutions — and the education to use them effectively every day.

How do you reach your core customer?

AM: Our core customer is the health-conscious, performance-driven individual who values science-backed wellness solutions. Whether they’re biohackers, athletes, or wellness enthusiasts, they seek cutting-edge technology to optimize sleep, energy, and overall well-being.

A common thread, our customers prioritize self-care but demand convenience, effectiveness, and proven results — and we aim to make wellness effortless and accessible all in one platform.

We’ll continue to expand our customer base by leading conversations in the wellness industry and sharing new insights, such as our recent Global Red Light Therapy Trend Report.

Gaining insight from 7K adults in the US, UK, UAE, and Australia, we found that one in three American adults have tried red light therapy, with adoption highest among men (nearly 40%). Based on the findings, we’re eager to expand our range further to reach more demographics and regions.

What’s next on the roadmap?

AM: We’re constantly looking to create new, innovative solutions and evolve with the market. Most recently, we released the Infrared PEMF Sauna Dome, combining far-infrared heat, PEMF therapy, red light, and near-infrared light all in one device.

It was designed to integrate seamlessly into modern, busy lifestyles and support habit stacking by delivering targeted wellness benefits for muscle recovery, skin radiance, mental clarity, and more. With the combination of these four powerful technologies, the Sauna Dome brings a customizable, spa-quality recovery experience to the homes of our customers.
