Inside out.

Consumers are anti-anti-aging.

Long game. As beauty and wellness converge, resilient routines are replacing cosmetic quick fixes, per Mintel.

Metabolic beauty. Thinking inside out, skin and hair are increasingly viewed as external signals of internal health. Raising the bar, consumers now expect evidence, personalization, and outcomes — with “clinically proven” mentions up 45% YoY and “science-backed skincare” up 37%.

Hormonal awareness. Cellular and metabolic optimization is going mainstream.

Interest in biohacking has grown 35%, reflecting broader focus on hormone health, stress regulation, and sleep quality as beauty levers. As diagnostics and wearables normalize endocrine literacy, hormone-safe products are poised to break through.

Beauty x CNS. Beyond appearance, sensory wellness is shaping emotional regulation. Neurocosmetics and products designed to support calm, focus, and recovery are gaining traction, with online conversations around mood-enhancing functional fragrances up 39%.

Human-made. As AI slop accelerates, consumers crave authenticity. Artisanal beauty continues to gain traction (up 52% YoY), with craftsmanship, imperfection, and visible human input building trust in an increasingly artificial world.

Looking ahead: Bombarded by filters, fillers, and fake content, beauty brands that support how people feel—not just how they look—will win on trust, loyalty, and longevity.
