Neko Health is putting AI scans on the map.
What’s happening: The Swedish preventative health clinic from Spotify’s Daniel Ek is adding sites in Manchester and Birmingham, less than a year after opening in London.
Inside look. Using AI full-body scans for early disease detection, Neko’s in high demand, carrying a 100K+ waitlist.
Scaling capacity, it added a second Stockholm site and two in London, with its 7K-sq-ft Spitalfields flagship screening 30K patients annually. Deploying a $260M investment, it’ll pursue UK-wide growth and US entry.
Data point. Logging 15K+ scans to date, Neko’s second-year data is promising, with 1.2% of patients discovering life-threatening ailments like skin cancer and heart conditions, and 4% with cases requiring immediate intervention.
Demonstrating efficacy, rechecks showed 77% of first-year patients with severe prior diagnoses were now in good health or managing conditions effectively.
Takeaway: Most patients leave with a clean bill of health, but as Neko’s proving, consumers are willing to pay for peace of mind.
