Alpha Fit Club (AFC), the fast-growing functional fitness franchise, successfully wrapped its third annual brand-wide competition, Alpha Games: The Main Event, on Saturday, October 3. Held at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the sold-out event marked the largest showcase in Alpha Fit Club history, drawing over 750 doubles teams and a total of 1,550 athletes.
Supported on-site by over 200 staff members, coaches, and members representing more than 26 Alpha Fit Club locations, the competition gathered an estimated 2,500 dedicated spectators. The event was supported by PLAE, Alpha Fit Club’s official performance partner, along with partner activations from Athletifreak, BodyArmor, Eat Clean Bro, Fleet Feet, Smartwater, Spear Physical Therapy, and more.
Over the course of the day, competitors pushed through a high-intensity multi-station workout that tested endurance, grit, and teamwork. Teams of two took on 1,000m SkiErg, 60 Dumbbell Thrusters, 160-Calorie Air Bike, 50 Med Ball Sit-Ups, 1,000m Row, 60 Burpees, and a 1-Mile Arc Curved Treadmill Run.
“Months of early mornings, challenging studio sessions, and relentless effort all led up to this single day, and our community exceeded every expectation,” said Sam Tooley, CEO of Alpha Fit Club. “The physical output was nothing short of incredible, but watching athletes support each other through their final reps and sprint across the finish line together was the true highlight. While Alpha Games serves as a North Star for our members’ daily training, at its core, it’s a celebration of collective strength.”
Alpha Games: By the Numbers
Across the competition floor, this year’s Alpha Games generated massive collective output, with 750 teams completing 1,500 total kilometers on SkiErgs and Concept2 Rowers, 750 miles on Arc Curved Treadmills, 120,000 calories on Air Bikes, 45,000 dumbbell thrusters, 45,000 burpees, and 37,500 medicine ball sit-ups. The sold-out field represented an inclusive cross-section of the brand’s community, spanning ages 18 to 69 and a skill spectrum ranging from Beginner to Elite athletes. Women represented 64.6% of participants, while 36 teams averaged an age of 50 or older. Demonstrating exceptional stamina, 29 individual athletes registered and competed in two separate divisions during the event.
Podium finishes were secured across three divisions — Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed Doubles — spanning Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite levels. The Men’s division champions set the fastest pace of the day with a winning time of 20:09.7, followed closely by the Mixed Doubles winners at 21:59.3 and the Women’s division champions at 23:43.5. Adding to the competitive spirit, the Staff Division winners showcased their own high-performance training with a 21:25.9 finish.
