We Work Well Inc, the global premier hosted buyer event company, announced the addition of a new event with the launch of W3Fit North America. This new stage of growth further expands their already successful portfolio of global events spanning the spa, hospitality, and fitness industries. The inaugural W3Fit North America event will be held September 8-11, 2024, at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, California.
Established in 2019 by Monica Helmstetter and Lucy Hugo, We Work Well has redefined the existing hosted buyer event model, of prescheduled one-on-one meetings, interactive education, and networking activities by integrating wellness into every aspect of the attendee experience. This approach centered around cultivating authentic business relationships while enhancing physical and mental well-being has deeply resonated with its audience. In 2021 the company expanded into the fitness sector in Europe with W3Fit EMEA, led by industry veteran and co-founder David Zarb Jenkins. Within two years this event has positioned itself as a leader, attracting the top fitness operators and suppliers from the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. “Much like its European counterpart, W3Fit North America will represent the next generation of hosted buyer events with wellness at its core,” says Helmstetter, further adding “bringing together like-minded leaders in the US club and fitness industry through a holistic approach of scheduled one-on-one meetings, community, and purpose.”
Watching the emerging trends, advancements in technology, and continuous innovation in the health and wellness space, Helmstetter and Hugo believe that the timing is right to launch W3Fit into North America. “Right from the start, we have been mindful of creating an event platform that was uniquely able to adapt to the evolving needs of any vertical it enters, both now and into the future,” explains Hugo “With the intersection of fitness and wellness reshaping the traditional approach to gyms and clubs, hosting an event like ours during this new phase of development is exciting for our team.”
Cameron Close, currently serving as the global wellness director at We Work Well, will assume the role of event director for W3Fit North America. Close brings a wealth of experience in health, fitness, and wellness, having managed the wellness programs across the company’s spa, hospitality, and fitness events. His industry expertise also includes seven years at Orangetheory Fitness, where he most recently was head of national coaching, overseeing the growth and education of over 600 coaches. Says Close, “I am thrilled to lead this new initiative at We Work Well and further advance our commitment to delivering innovative programs that allow our attendees to grow their businesses all while prioritizing their own health and well-being.”
