Humans take more than 20,000 breaths a day, yet lung health is rarely treated as part of a daily wellness routine. Climatic, maker of L Max, the world’s first daily lung health product, today announced that six leaders from the endurance sports community have joined the company as Performance Advisors. World Champion triathlete Tim O’Donnell, professional distance runner Sara Hall, Ironman champion and coach Matt Hanson, applied sports scientist and HRV expert Dan Plews, Lululemon ambassador and Runna athlete Kayla Jeter, and CITIUS MAG founder and 14-time marathoner Chris Chavez will help advance the emerging daily lung health category and increase awareness of the role breathing and lung health play in performance, recovery, and long-term wellness.
“Over the last decade, we’ve watched categories like sleep, hydration, recovery, and metabolic health move from niche interests to everyday habits. We believe lung health is next,” said Eric Kau, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Climatic. “The convergence of proactive health, increasing environmental stressors, and the widespread impact of respiratory conditions is creating a new awareness that how we breathe affects how we feel, perform, and recover every day. We’re honored to have some of the most respected voices in endurance sports join us in helping bring daily lung health into the mainstream wellness conversation.”
These Performance Advisors were selected for their influence across endurance sports, coaching, sports science, and athlete communities. Together, they will help elevate the connection between respiratory health, athletic performance, recovery, and overall health, while providing product feedback, supporting community engagement, and contributing to strategic initiatives.
“As athletes, we spend a lot of time thinking about training, nutrition, recovery, and sleep, but we rarely think about our lungs until something goes wrong,” said Tim O’Donnell, World Champion triathlete and Climatic Performance Advisor. “Breathing impacts every workout, every race, and every recovery session. I’m excited to help bring more attention to lung health and why it deserves to be part of the daily wellness conversation.”
“So much of my work is about helping people build sustainable habits that support their physical and mental well-being,” said Kayla Jeter, Lululemon ambassador and Runna athlete, and Climatic Performance Advisor. “Breath is at the center of how we move, recover, and navigate daily life, yet it’s something many of us take for granted. Greater awareness of respiratory health can help people feel more connected to their bodies and their overall well-being.”
Climatic was founded on the belief that lung health should be treated proactively, much like hydration, sleep, or exercise. Every day, people are exposed to environmental and lifestyle stressors that impact respiratory health—from air pollution and wildfire smoke to allergens and common conditions like asthma and chronic cough—yet the category has never had a dedicated solution. L Max, which launched earlier this year, is designed to help cleanse and clear the airways for easier breathing, improved performance, and better recovery.
