Connectome Opens London’s first Brain-Performance Clinic to the Public

The cognitive performance platform brings brain measurement developed with Imperial College London, until now confined to research labs, to consumers in Soho and to sports teams, longevity clinics, and performance programmes.

Connectome, the cognitive intelligence platform that measures how the brain changes over time, published evidence from its first major study with Imperial. Individuals can now book a brain-performance scan at its clinic in Soho, London, and performance organisations and clinics, from sports teams to longevity and clinic operators, can bring the same measurement into their own programmes.

The move makes brain assessments commercially available for the first time. Physical examinations have been available for years through wearables, blood panels, and lab testing. Brain measurement has not. Connectome measures the brain’s capacity for working memory, attention control, and cognitive flexibility against a person’s own baseline, using non-invasive, wearable-grade brain imaging in a scan of roughly 15  minutes. Repeat scans over time show how an individual brain’s physiological performance shifts with sleep, training load, stress, and daily life.

“HRV and VO2 max exist for the cardiovascular system. Dexa scans measure muscle mass. Now brain measurement is possible too,” said Lucas Scherdel, Co-Founder and CEO of Connectome. “The brain is the largest untapped source of peak performance and longevity, and you can’t take care of what you can’t clearly see or reliably measure. What’s new isn’t that we can measure it. It’s that someone can book a scan in Soho this week, or an organisation can put the device in front of its own athletes, members, or patients.”

Two routes, live now

Connectome is now opening a series of Studios around the world to make this new technology available to the public. Starting with its first location in Soho, London, United Kingdom. For consumers, individuals book a scan, receive their cognitive performance measured against their own baseline, and return to track how their brain changes over time.

For organisations, Connectome delivers the same measurement to performance teams, longevity clinics, and clinical partners, giving them an objective, physiologically grounded read on cognitive performance to sit alongside the physical metrics they already track. In professional football, Connectome is already working with Italian club Como 1907 and other clinics around Europe.

Backed by research with Imperial College London

Connectome’s technology is grounded in a research collaboration with Imperial College London. Its LUCID study, now complete, measured 92 healthy adults using time-domain fNIRS and found that Connectome’s biomarkers of brain activity reliably predict how quickly people respond on cognitive tasks, are stable enough to track over time, and are shaped by age, sleep, and physical activity. The findings are published as a preprint and constitute the basis for the recommendations and feedback Connectome provides through its platform. A second study with Imperial College is already underway, examining cognitive measurement in adults with ADHD. It is now recruiting and running.

The measures are not intended for diagnostic use. Connectome measures cognitive performance, not pathology, and complements rather than replaces clinical expertise.

About Connectome Health

Connectome is transforming health and performance by making cognitive change measurable over time. We empower businesses to embed seamless brain function measurement into their product or service.

Our platform combines repeatable brain measurement with real-world context (lifestyle, biometrics, and behaviour) to deliver clearer change detection and individual-level measurement for personalised health and performance.

We are powered by our AI research developing models of brain function, built by neuroscientists, and engineered for trust at scale.

Connectome offers direct-to-consumer brain-performance scanning in London and a measurement layer for performance, longevity, and clinical partners. Learn more at https://connectome.health/ .
