Corporate Traveler and Sweat Team Up to Launch Wellness Travel Guide, Empowering Business Travelers to Stay Healthy on the Road

New York, NY / Aug 18, 2025 / Corporate Traveler

Corporate Traveler, the flagship SME division of Flight Centre Travel Group, has partnered with Sweat, one of the world’s leading fitness apps, to release an official Wellness Travel Guide, a practical resource designed to help business travelers stay healthy and energized while on the road.

The strategic guide offers actionable wellness tips and advice for travelers, including ways to improve circulation through regular movement, boost hydration, and plan ahead with healthy snacks. Developed in response to a growing industry-wide shift toward prioritizing employee wellbeing, Corporate Traveler and Sweat collaborated on the guide to support travelers in maintaining their health, especially during long-haul flights.

Co-founded in 2015 by Head Trainer Kayla Itsines, Sweat was created to empower women through fitness. Now available in over 145 countries and eight languages, the app features more than 60 unique fitness programs and over 13,000 workouts, led by some of the world’s top trainers. With a thriving global community and a mission to inspire through movement, Itsines and CEO Adam Koch have successfully transformed the lives of millions of women around the world.

“We’re seeing a clear shift in traveler behavior, with wellness emerging as a top priority – especially on international trips,” said John Van den Heuvel, President, Corporate Traveler USA. “From in-flight stretching to mindful hydration and nutrition, business travelers are proactively taking ownership of their wellbeing.”

With U.S. corporate travelers increasingly exploring more international markets, long-haul travel is on the rise. In April alone, flight bookings from the U.S. surged year-over-year to several global destinations, including Italy (+31%), the UK (+7%), Japan (+6%), Brazil (+17%), the UAE (+52%), and South Africa (+53%). As international travel increases, the importance of incorporating wellness into travel routines has never been greater.

“For business travelers. it’s essential that travel doesn’t become a barrier to productivity—or to health,” added Van den Heuvel. “Preparation is key to maintaining energy, focus, and performance on the road. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Sweat on this guide, which should serve as a great starting point for anyone looking to stay energized and focused while traveling.”

Top Five Wellness Travel Tips from Sweat and Corporate Traveler

  • Move Frequently During flights, aim to stand or walk every 30 minutes, even if it’s just a trip to the restroom. In-seat movements like foot rotations, shoulder raises, and neck stretches also improve circulation.
  • Increase Hydration Bring a reusable water bottle and sip regularly, as staying hydrated supports energy, digestion, and helps reduce jet lag. Limit alcohol and caffeine, which can disrupt sleep and dehydrate the body.
  • Sleep Smart Set your phone to your destination’s time zone. If it’s nighttime there, try to sleep on the plane; if it’s daytime, do your best to stay awake. This helps your body acclimate more quickly.
  • Move Upon Arrival Even short workouts can reset your system. Check if your hotel has a gym, pack resistance bands, or make time for movement throughout the day —morning stretches, stair climbs, or lunchtime walks in natural light.
  • Fuel Wisely Choose in-flight meals with fruits, vegetables, and protein, or bring your own healthy snacks—Itsines recommends fruit, veggie sticks, nuts, popcorn, or sandwiches. If jet lag impacts digestion, eat light and stick to familiar foods.

“Our mission has always been to support women through fitness, and we’re excited to extend that to the world of business travel with this guide,” said Itsines. “Through our collaboration with Corporate Traveler, we’re pleased to provide business travelers with practical, accessible tools to prioritize their wellbeing – wherever their journey takes them.”

Additionally, Itsines recommends the On Demand section of the Sweat app, which features quick, travel-friendly workouts and restorative movement options to help travelers recharge. Workouts can be easily filtered by duration, location, equipment, or training style to suit individual needs.
