Dubai-based Robotic Therapeutics, a manufacturer of robotic and aesthetic devices, has upgraded its flagship robotic massage system roboSculptor. Previously focused on lymphatic drainage massage, the system now targets muscle tension and post-workout recovery.

In particular, the developer introduced six new 20-minute programs: “Total Back Relief,” “Upper Back Relief,” “Lower Back Relief,” “Express Recovery,” “Cardio Recovery” (a leg recovery session for cyclists, runners, or post-cardio workouts), and “Leg Day Recovery” (a leg recovery session designed for after leg workouts). In addition, there is a 45-minute program called “Full Body Recovery.”

Company founder Dennis Ledenkof said feedback from the fitness community helped shape the update. “We saw strong interest in the product from gym owners and athletes at the Dubai Active Show in October 2025,” he explained. “We realized the market lacks a robotic system that addresses the recovery needs of people who work out regularly.”

The update comes as the fitness industry continues to expand rapidly in the United Arab Emirates. The country’s health and fitness club market already reached about $484 million in 2024 and could grow to around $742 million by 2033, according to industry estimates. The broader fitness ecosystem is also growing, with more than 1.45 million fitness users projected in the UAE by 2029.

Government initiatives play a major role in this trend. Authorities promote more active lifestyles through programs such as the Dubai Fitness Challenge and the National Sports Strategy 2031, partly to address obesity, which remains a major health concern in the country. Businesses also support the shift. Real estate developers, in particular, build more residential projects with in-house gyms and other fitness facilities.

At the same time, the company is expanding beyond the UAE and continuing to grow in the United States, where it presented its robotic masseur last year and sees strong demand for technology products in the fitness industry. According to McKinsey’s recent Future of Wellness report, 84% of U.S. consumers consider wellness a top or important priority in their daily lives, and 56% say they are prioritizing wellness more in 2025 than they did a year earlier. “We see strong interest in tech solutions from spas and fitness centers in the United States,” said Dennis Ledenkof, the company’s founder. “That is why we are now looking for a U.S.-based strategic partner to support our expansion in this market.”
