Eli Health, the company building the real-time interface to the human body via continuous hormone monitoring, has closed a $12 million USD Series A funding round led by BDC Capital’s Thrive Venture Fund. To date, Eli Health has raised $20 million USD, and the latest funding accelerates access to the Hormometer™—its flagship product and the world’s first instant hormone monitoring system, delivering results from saliva to app in minutes.
The announcement comes at a time when 60% of adults will experience symptoms related to hormone imbalances. Hormones are a silent and fundamental driver of how we feel, function, perform, and age—but they remain largely untracked in everyday life. Cortisol, often referred to as the stress hormone, sits at the center of this crisis, with dysregulation affecting 1 in 3 adults.
Cortisol levels typically fluctuate throughout the day—peaking in the morning to support energy and trending downward toward bedtime to support rest. However, this rhythm is disrupted by chronic stress and factors like sleep, nutrition, light exposure, routine, and exercise. Traditional lab tests miss these fluctuations, making it impossible to understand symptoms and make appropriate lifestyle adjustments.Eli Health is closing that gap—making it possible to capture real-time hormone data anytime, anywhere, as often as you need it.
With this Series A, Eli Health is launching its platform in beta with its first key hormone—cortisol—selected for its wide-reaching impact on daily and lifelong health. A waitlist is open for progesterone, the next hormone to launch on the platform. Subscription plans start at $8/test for a 12-month commitment, with flexible options available. The funding will help scale production, accelerate the development of additional biomarkers, and deepen the company’s role in personalized health.
“Hormones regulate nearly every major system in the body—governing stress response, sleep, cognitive and physical performance, metabolism, immune function, and much more. But until now, this data has been largely invisible. It’s been too expensive, sporadic, and slow to offer the insight people need,” said Marina Pavlovic Rivas, Eli Health cofounder and CEO. “We’ve created aa real-time interface to the human body, where hormone tracking is as easy as checking your temperature and as quick as brushing your teeth. And now people will be able to use this data to guide daily decisions based on their body’s live feed.”
Introducing The Hormometer: The World’s First Instant Hormone Test
The Hormometer makes it possible to check hormone levels instantly using a saliva sample and your phone—anytime, anywhere. Results appear in minutes, alongside personal hormone trends and AI-powered recommendations to make improvements—all through the Eli Health app. No lab. No sample shipment.
After more than five years of R&D—and 12+ patent-pending innovations across biochemistry, hardware, software, AI, and endocrinology—Eli Health has reached commercial readiness for its two initial biomarkers. The Hormometer has successfully completed third-party validations, secured FDA registration, and is manufactured in-house, making it possible to meet customer demand at scale.
Earlier this year, Eli Health earned the CES’ 2025 “Best of Innovation in Digital Health” award, recognizing the Hormometer as a category-defining breakthrough in personalized consumer health. The private beta program is live, with early adopters using the Hormometer as part of their health optimization routine already. Ahead of the public launch later this year, consumers can apply to join the private beta at eli.health.
“Hormonal health is rapidly emerging as one of the most important frontiers in personal wellness” said Mona Minhas, Partner at BDC Thrive Venture Fund and Board Member at Eli Health. “Eli Health recognized this shift early. Through years of focused execution, they’ve built the science, technological platform, and manufacturing infrastructure to lead the category. We’ve been following Eli Health’s journey since the start, and it has been inspiring to see their bold vision become reality. Eli Health is a shining example of the kind of innovation and market leadership that aligns with the investment focus of the Thrive Venture Fund. ”
In addition to the Thrive Venture Fund, other investors include California-based Muse Capital, which continues to serve on the company’s board of directors. They are joined by existing and new investors, including TELUS Global Ventures, Foreground Capital, Rocana Ventures, Accelia Capital, Garage Capital, Swizzle Ventures, IKJ Capital, Next Blue, Real Ventures, and Leva Capital.
“For the first time in history, we’ll have a continuous, real-world view of hormone patterns at scale,” said Assia Grazioli-Venier, Founding Partner at Muse Capital and Board Member at Eli Health. “That kind of insight doesn’t just improve daily health, it redefines the very infrastructure of care. We backed Eli because we saw a team with the scientific depth, operational rigor, and cultural relevance to lead a seismic shift in personal health. This is exactly the kind of company Muse Capital was built to support: deeply needed, wildly ambitious, and built by founders ahead of the curve.”
“There’s a massive gap between today’s consumer health products and what people actually need to understand their bodies in real time,” said Annick Charbonneau, Founding Partner at Accelia Capital. “Eli Health closes that gap by fusing rigorous bioscience, custom microfluidic hardware, and a live data engine powered by computer vision into one seamless platform. This isn’t a single product—it’s the launchpad for a new class of everyday health and wellness tools. The technical depth and defensibility of their work are hard to overstate.”
