Gym Launch, a business coaching company that helps gym owners grow profitable, scalable fitness businesses, has launched Gym Launch Unfiltered, a new video podcast for operators navigating the realities of gym ownership.

Hosted by Gym Launch President Mike Ferreira alongside coaches Ryan Carson, Rod Busby, R.E. Lewis, Matt Morse and Blake Hill, the series reflects a core part of the Gym Launch model: experienced gym owners and operators coaching other gym owners. The conversations are grounded in the team’s firsthand experience building, operating and growing fitness businesses, rather than business theory alone.

That operator-led perspective is central to Gym Launch Unfiltered. The series is designed to bring the conversations that happen inside coaching calls, leadership meetings and between experienced gym owners into a public format, including the decisions that worked, the ones that failed and the lessons learned along the way.

The launch expands Gym Launch’s investment in education and media for fitness operators at a time when gym owners are facing increasingly complex decisions around member acquisition, pricing, retention, staffing, profitability and long-term growth.

Rather than presenting polished success stories or generic entrepreneurship advice, Gym Launch Unfiltered focuses specifically on the realities of running a gym. Episodes combine practical business strategy with candid discussion about the financial, operational and human challenges that come with owning a brick-and-mortar fitness business.

The first episode, “Gym Confessionals: Wild Stories From Gym Ownership,” brings together the Gym Launch coaching team to share some of the most unusual situations they encountered as gym owners, from emergency incidents and bizarre member encounters to the unpredictable realities of operating a fitness business.

Future episodes will explore topics including whether gym owners need to be the face of their businesses, what happens when a gym is failing, pricing strategy, profitability, supplement revenue, the numbers operators should actually track and real questions sourced from gym owners online.

“Gym owners are constantly being told what they should do, but there is enormous value in hearing what actually happens behind the scenes,” said Mike Ferreira, President of Gym Launch. “The goal of Gym Launch Unfiltered is to have the conversations operators are already having privately and bring them into the open.”

The podcast launch follows continued investment by Gym Launch in tools and resources designed to help operators better understand the economics of their businesses. In July, the company introduced its Member Acquisition Dashboard, designed to give gym and studio owners greater visibility into acquisition performance from advertising spend through closed memberships.

Gym Launch Unfiltered is available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and major podcast platforms.
