GymNation, the Middle East’s largest and fastest-growing affordable fitness brand, today announced its entry into Thailand, marking the group’s first expansion into Southeast Asia. The brand will open its first Thailand gym, a flagship site exceeding 40,000 square feet in Pathum Wan, Bangkok, in the first quarter of 2027, with memberships starting from as little as 999THB. GymNation plans to open more than 20 gyms across the country over the next three to five years, creating over 1,500 full-time jobs for local communities in the process.
Since opening its first gym in 2018, GymNation has grown to 48 gyms and more than 200,000 members across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, building a reputation for world-class facilities, 24/7 access and inclusive, community-driven gyms that make high-quality fitness accessible to everyone. The Thailand launch brings that same promise, premium quality without the premium price tag, to Thai members for the first time.
Designed to serve a broad demographic, the gyms will deliver GymNation’s “People’s Gym” concept, centred on affordability, accessibility and inclusivity, while maintaining premium-quality facilities. Members will benefit from over 400 classes each month, state-of-the-art equipment, extensive training zones and specialist studios offering HYROX, Reformer Pilates and LES MILLS classes. Every GymNation gym in Thailand will span more than 30,000 square feet and operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, giving members the freedom to train whenever it suits them.
Thailand’s fast-growing health and wellness market, combined with a young, active and increasingly fitness-conscious population, makes it a natural next step for the brand, which aims to remove the cost barriers that have long placed premium gym facilities out of reach for many.
“Thailand is one of the most exciting fitness markets in the world, with an energy and enthusiasm for health and wellbeing that fits perfectly with everything GymNation stands for,” said William Rasmussen-Dean, CEO of GymNation SE Asia.
“We’ve spent years proving that you don’t have to choose between quality and affordability. Our members get world-class equipment, 24/7 access and a genuine community, all at a price that works for everyone. We can’t wait to bring that same experience to Bangkok in early 2027, and to communities right across Thailand in the years that follow.”
Since launching in the UAE in 2018, GymNation has disrupted the traditional fitness industry by challenging the perception that premium gyms must come with premium price tags. Thailand marks the next chapter in that mission.
“The expansion into Thailand marks yet another significant milestone in GymNation’s mission to make fitness affordable, accessible and inclusive,” said Loren Holland, Founder & CEO of GymNation.
“The gyms we are about to open in Thailand are truly next-level, from the scale of the space to the combination of world-class facilities, equipment and design. As we have done across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, we’re now going to raise the standard for what a gym can be in Thailand.”
As it grows to more than 20 gyms, GymNation’s Thailand rollout will create jobs spanning gym teams and personal trainers to head-office and support roles, alongside significant training and career-development opportunities for local talent.
GymNation is the Middle East’s largest low-cost gym operator, with close to 50 locations and over 200,000 members across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. Founded in Dubai in 2018, GymNation was built on a simple mission: to make world-class fitness affordable and accessible to everyone.
GymNation’s vision is to be The Region’s Movement Partner, championing active, healthy lifestyles and the connection between physical activity and mental wellbeing across the communities it serves.[RA1]
