HaloScape and Canary Speech Partners to Bring Voice Analysis into Multi-Modal Health Intelligence

The device-agnostic health intelligence platform HaloScape, which already unifies data from wearables, IoT devices, lab results, and medical records, is adding voice, a passive, non-invasive signal that travels with users from daily check-ins to physician visits.

HaloScape, the AI-powered health intelligence platform, has signed a strategic collaboration with Canary Speech, Inc., a U.S.-based pioneer in vocal biomarker technology, to integrate voice analysis into HaloScape’s multi-modal platform.

The collaboration lands at a moment when the consumer-to-clinical data pipeline is becoming the defining competitive question in digital health. Wearable adoption continues to climb, but the harder problem is what comes next: translating continuous, passive signals into something a physician can act on. Voice is one of the most clinically promising additions to that pipeline — it requires no extra hardware, can reflect meaningful biological and behavioral patterns, and integrates naturally into the conversations patients already have with their providers.

HaloScape’s platform already unifies data from wearables, IoT devices, lab results, medical records, and biomarkers, delivering a daily Halo Score, real-time stress tracking, sleep analysis, cycle tracking, nutrition logging, and an AI health coach to consumers, while powering HaloSight — the company’s clinical decision support panel, for healthcare providers. Adding Canary Speech’s vocal biomarker models extends that architecture with a new passive signal layer that can cross the consumer-clinical divide with minimal friction.

From Multi-Modal to a Richer Signal Set

The collaboration integrates Canary Speech’s voice analysis into HaloScape’s sandbox environment, surfacing screening signals across Mood, Stress, Vocal Energy, Wellness, and Mild Cognitive Impairment. On the consumer side, voice becomes another input alongside wearable signals. On the clinician side, HaloSight can surface voice-derived signals next to wearable, lab, and imaging data within its medical panel, supporting more contextual decision-making.

“Voice is one of the oldest and most natural signals we carry. It requires no additional device, yet it can reveal powerful clues about our health and mental state. Until now, we have tried to understand health through data such as steps, heart rate, sleep, and lab results. Now, we are adding a device-free layer to that picture. Together with Canary Speech, our goal is to evaluate voice alongside other health data and uncover clinically meaningful insights. The most critical part of this work is validation. We believe every signal must be validated within the populations that will actually use it. We started with Turkish, and we aim to expand this same approach across every country where we operate.” said Emre Yücel, Founder & CEO of HaloScape.

“For the past decade, we’ve done the hard work of turning voice into a clinically meaningful signal. Powerful on its own, it becomes sharper when it sits alongside the rest of a patient’s picture — how they’re sleeping, how active they are, what their labs say. The richer the data behind a clinical decision, the more confidently a team can act, both in the room with a patient and across the longer arc of their care. That’s the work we’re building with HaloScape and validating it in a new language is exciting for our team as we expand our reach globally.” said Henry O’Connell, Co-Founder & CEO of Canary Speech.

IRB-Approved Clinical Research Program to Launch

In addition to the platform integration, HaloScape and Canary Speech are establishing an ethics committee-approved clinical research program focused on validating voice biomarkers in the Turkish language.

The program’s first study will focus on the validation of voice biomarkers in Turkish for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).

Since 2018, Canary Speech has conducted more than 20 scientific publications and clinical studies in the field of vocal biomarkers. The company has reported its findings through leading reference platforms such as The Lancet Regional Health and AIME (Proceedings of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine). Today, its technology is not only represented in academic literature but is also part of clinical use and regulatory processes across multiple countries, including the United States and Japan.

HaloScape, meanwhile, has launched nine ethics committee-approved clinical studies within its first six months. Conducted with Türkiye’s leading university hospitals and private healthcare groups, these studies are currently running in parallel across multiple clinical fields, including cardiology, psychiatry, internal medicine, and sports medicine. At the same time, one of the algorithms behind HaloScape’s AI models has been accepted into the conference program of IEEE, one of the world’s leading engineering and technology organizations.

Now, the two companies are bringing together their academic momentum in digital health to build a multinational, ethics committee-approved research program that integrates voice data, wearable biometrics, and clinical scale scores within a single analytical architecture.

The program’s structural distinction lies in moving diagnostic assessment beyond the limited snapshot of a single clinical visit, supporting it instead with continuous, multimodal signals from patients’ everyday lives.

The long-term goal is to help transform the way psychiatric and neurological conditions are assessed globally by supporting clinical decision-making, which today largely depends on subjective scales and patient self-reporting, with measurable biological indicators.
