HAVYT has announced HEAT, version 1.2 of its iPhone app, with an expanded Personal Patterns feature that helps users see how changes in symptoms line up with everyday life. The update builds on HAVYT’s support for people with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), giving them a way to review pain, stiffness and energy alongside the sleep, routines and activities they record.
Personal Patterns looks for recurring associations across an individual’s records. A user might wonder whether mornings with more stiffness tend to follow a short night’s sleep or a long drive. When there is enough comparable history to surface a finding, HEAT shows the entries behind it and how much data it draws on. Users can choose which factors to watch and see where the record is too sparse to draw a conclusion. An association describes what appeared together in the logs and cannot establish a cause.
The updated Journal gives those records a shared timeline. It brings check-ins, symptoms, workouts, recovery and everyday events into one place, so a difficult morning can be read alongside what happened the day before. Users can ask Emelie, HAVYT’s AI companion, to save an event such as a long drive, including when it happened and how long it lasted. Users decide whether to save the entry and can review, edit or undo it afterward.
For someone living with AS, the timeline can help reconstruct what changed between appointments. A user who wants to discuss a stretch of difficult mornings can look back at dated entries and bring a Health Report PDF to the conversation. HEAT improves how those reports present recorded information and refines the pain map, which shows where a user logged discomfort.
Training is one place where that daily context matters. HAVYT’s optional AS Mode uses check-in information such as pain, stiffness, sleep and energy to inform training and recovery suggestions. With HEAT, users can preview how their current Adaptive Mode changes a scheduled workout before starting it. On a flare day, that can mean seeing a gentler option or a shorter session while keeping the longer-term plan in place.
