Fitstop, the global strength and conditioning brand with more than 170 locations across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the U.S., will open its first Texas location on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 14058 Memorial Drive in Houston.
The opening marks the brand’s Texas debut and is the first of four studios planned for Houston by multi-unit franchisee Victor Guo, who signed the largest U.S. development agreement in Fitstop’s history earlier this year.
Fitstop will celebrate with a grand opening event beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT, featuring workouts inside the Memorial studio, a DJ, and local food and beverage vendors. Complimentary sessions are still available for opening day for the 9:30 a.m. CT session, bookable now through the Fitstop app.
“The era of chasing calorie burns or jumping into whatever class is trending is giving way to something more meaningful,” said Pete Hull, founder and CEO of Fitstop. “People want to train with purpose and know that six months from now, they’ll be fitter, stronger and more capable than the day they walked in. That mindset is exactly what Fitstop has been built around since the beginning, and we’re excited to bring it to Houston.”
Fitstop was founded to make structured strength and conditioning training accessible in a coach-led group environment. Rather than treating each session as a standalone workout, Fitstop uses progressive programming designed to build strength, conditioning and overall fitness over time. Members train across four core session types: Lift, Perform, Condition and Sweat, combining strength, power, conditioning and team-based training throughout the week. Through the Fitstop app, members can also track sessions, lifts and personal benchmarks over time.
For Guo, who experienced Fitstop before joining as a franchisee, the combination of smart programming, real coaching and a team environment set it apart from anything else on the market.
“I’ve trained at a lot of different gyms and tried a number of concepts in Houston, but Fitstop stood out because there was a clear purpose behind the training,” said Guo. “The programming progresses, the coaches know what you’re working toward, and you can see how your fitness is developing over time. I think that combination of serious training and a strong team environment is something people in Houston are really going to connect with.”
For a limited time, new members can experience the Fitstop training difference with a special introductory offer – 50 percent off for their first two weeks.
