Kineon, a leading medtech company dedicated to changing how we approach chronic pain through next-generation red light therapy products, today announced that it has been named to Fast Company’s fourth annual Next Big Things in Tech list, honoring emerging technology that has a profound impact for industries—from education and sustainability to robotics and artificial intelligence.

Kineon’s newest advancements in red light technology, the HEAL+ and CALM+, were honored under the Health category of this year’s awards. Succeeding Kineon’s inaugural product, the MOVE+ Pro, Kineon’s HEAL+ and CALM+ devices use red light to address gut, brain and integrated health needs. When used together, the devices improve immunity, brain function, metabolism, insulin function, lower inflammation, reduce stress, and more. Never before has such targeted red light therapy been accessible to users in the comfort of their own home, let alone in a compact, travel-friendly capacity for on-the-go relief.

Kineon’s physician-approved red light therapy devices are backed by more than 6,000 studies, with more than 35,000 satisfied customers and growing. The HEAL+ and CALM+ were introduced earlier this year and will be available for purchase in early 2025.

“Our mission at Kineon is to help 1,000,000 people move from Pain to Possible. We’re bringing technology to people that reduces pain and inflammation more effectively than pharmaceuticals, and provides long-lasting relief for a healthier, pain-free society,” said Forrest Smith, Co-Founder and CEO of Kineon. “We are proud to be leading the next generation of laser-light technology.”

This year, 138 technologies developed by established companies, startups, or research teams are featured for their potential to revolutionize the lives of consumers, businesses, and society overall. While not all technologies are available in the market yet, each is reaching key milestones to have a proven impact in the next five years.

“The Next Big Things in Tech provides a fascinating glimpse at near- and long-term technological breakthroughs across a variety of sectors,” said Brendan Vaughan, editor-in-chief of Fast Company. “Spanning everything from semiconductors to agricultural gene editing, the companies featured in this year’s list are tackling some of the world’s most pressing and vexing problems.”
