Yoga Joint, the fast-growing infrared fitness franchise known for its signature vinyasa yoga and high-intensity strength training, today announced a multi-unit franchise agreement with CR Fitness Holdings (CR Fitness), the largest Crunch Fitness franchisee in the country. The agreement covers Western and Central Florida, including Tampa, Sarasota, Naples and Orlando, among other Florida markets, as well as Dallas, Texas.
This marks CR Fitness’s first franchise agreement outside of Crunch Fitness. CR Fitness operates 98 Crunch Fitness clubs and serves more than one million members across the Southeast and Texas, with expansion into Arizona also underway.
“CR Fitness is exactly the kind of partner we look for as we scale nationally. They’ve built one of the most successful multi-unit operations in fitness franchising, and choosing Yoga Joint for their first franchise investment outside Crunch validates our brand’s differentiation and unit economics,” said Bernie Zarco, CEO of Yoga Joint. “This will strengthen our footprint across our home state of Florida, while opening the door to new members in Texas and building real growth momentum in key markets.”
Yoga Joint’s latest expansion is supported by strong unit economics. Studios that were open for all of 2024 posted average unit volumes of approximately $1.84 million, with mature locations exceeding $2.4 million. Each studio delivers two proprietary class formats, Flow, a 60-minute, all-levels vinyasa-based yoga class that builds strength, flexibility and balance, and FIIT, a 45-minute, low-impact workout combining cardio and strength training, both performed in infrared-heated rooms. The format is designed to reach yoga practitioners and general fitness enthusiasts, expanding the member base and supporting the recurring membership revenue that drives that performance.
That standard starts with the classes. Yoga Joint invests in top instructor talent and supports the team with year-round education, coaching and development, so every studio delivers the same experience. For a multi-unit operator like CR Fitness, that reliability is central to what makes the concept scalable.
“When we invest outside our core business, we hold ourselves to the same standard. We want proven unit economics, a concept that stands apart in its category, and an operating model built to scale the way we scale,” said Tony Scrimale, CEO of CR Fitness Holdings.
“Yoga Joint delivers on all three. The format is genuinely different from anything else in boutique fitness, and the way they train and develop instructors gives us conviction we can deliver that same experience in every studio. We’re ready to bring that to communities across Florida and Dallas.”
Yoga Joint’s agreement with CR Fitness is part of the brand’s broader national expansion, which also includes recently announced entries into New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut, Georgia and Massachusetts.
As that growth continues, Yoga Joint is actively seeking experienced multi-unit operators to scale the brand across the U.S. To learn more about franchise opportunities with Yoga Joint and schedule a discovery call, please visit https://invest.yogajoint.com.
