LES MILLS YOGA™ has been unveiled as a new series of workouts from the Kiwi fitness leader, designed to help clubs seamlessly scale their yoga offering and tap into the fast-growing wellness category.
Consumer demand for activities that enhance both their mental and physical wellbeing has helped drive the global wellness economy to an all-time high of US$6.3 trillion* and LES MILLS YOGA has been crafted to support clubs in unlocking this booming market.
Designed to remove common yoga pain points such as class consistency, accessibility for new members and Instructor availability, LES MILLS YOGA enables operators to scale their yoga offering with a turnkey solution that’s tailored to modern member needs and easy to implement.
The series requires no equipment (though mats are recommended) and features four, 45-minute classes:
- LES MILLS YOGA™ YIN – for deep stretching, relaxation and restoration.
- LES MILLS YOGA™ HATHA – for mobility, stability and alignment.
- LES MILLS YOGA™ VINYASA – for an energizing flow that builds heat, strength and flexibility.
- LES MILLS™ BREATH – for mental clarity, focus and emotional release.
Fraser Beck, co-creator of LES MILLS YOGA, said: “This isn’t just yoga. It’s a four-part series bringing together powerful coaching and expert programming to open up various types of yoga for every body, every level, and every mindset.
“Activities that nurture mental wellbeing are becoming a top priority for members, so we wanted to make it easy for clubs to provide credible and effective mind/body movement that feels right for them and is easy to scale.”
After rigorous testing and refinement, a recent three-month trial of LES MILLS YOGA in leading Swedish chains (Nordic Wellness, STC and ACTIC) revealed:
- 86% program satisfaction rate across participants
- 87% of participants would recommend LES MILLS YOGA to their friends
- 94% of participants satisfied with the quality of their LES MILLS YOGA Instructor
STC Group Training Manager Sara Bohman said of the trial: “Yoga is a massive opportunity for clubs, but it’s one we’ve struggled to fully grasp in the past. We wanted to expand our yoga offering across the estate, add new classes, and make it more accessible for our members. That’s when Les Mills came in and made it easy for us, because we were able to educate a lot of instructors in high-quality programming that’s fully packaged and ready to launch.
“The impact has been amazing, and we’ve seen 100% class occupancy in some of our gyms. It’s helping to reduce the barriers to yoga and get more members into our studio – which is exactly where we want them, as we know it’s the key to great retention.”
