METRIX, the immersive fitness competition where music powers performance, returns to London’s Magazine on 5-6 September for its biggest event to date, with more than 3,500 participants and spectators expected across the two day weekend.
This flagship event also marks the expansion of METRIX’s commercial partnership programme, with leading brands from the fitness, wellness, and music industries joining the competition experience. Atlantic Records UK, the Official Music Partner, will have its DJs performing live during the event, and lululemon joins the roster as the official apparel partner.
Toby Spooner, Co-founder of METRIX added: “The growth we’ve seen over the last 18 months shows there is genuine demand for a new kind of fitness experience, and that demand isn’t slowing by any means. Our partners have recognised that too, helping us build an event where performance, recovery, entertainment and community all exist in one place.”
This final 2026 event caps a transformative year of exponential growth, highlighted by a 310% surge in overall attendance and a monthly social media reach of 1.2 million. Following a successful expansion into Cardiff, METRIX has already confirmed its 2027 UK circuit, spanning London, Manchester, and Cardiff, alongside plans for its inaugural international debut.
Central to this momentum is a loyal, diverse community where women now represent over 60% of participants, underscoring METRIX’s mission to redefine competitive fitness as an accessible and scalable global movement.
Will McLaren, Co-founder of METRIX said: “When we launched METRIX, we wanted to create something that felt completely different to other fitness competitions. We know people want an incredible competition but they also want atmosphere and music. They want to detach and immerse themselves completely in the experience, whether you are totally new or an elite athlete, being part of the experience is what keeps people coming back for more as we build and grow the METRIX brand together.”
METRIX is designed exclusively for pairs, with competitors working together across five stations where every metre and repetition is captured using live tracking technology. The first of its kind format removes the need for judges while allowing athletes of all abilities to compete together in the same event. What sets METRIX apart is the production around the competition. A live DJ commands the main stage, transforming the floor into a full-scale production, a deliberate collision of competitive sport and nightclub energy.
Beyond the competition floor, attendees can also access recovery zones, ice baths, saunas, food and drink pop ups, and partner activations designed to create a full-day experience for competitors and spectators alike.
Those wishing to compete can still secure places in the remaining waves, while spectators are able to purchase tickets to experience the competition, live entertainment and activations.
