Movemint, a modern and easy-to-use event registration platform, today announced the close of its pre-seed funding round.

Founded in 2024 by former Strava engineering leader Zack Isaacs and designer Taylor Peliska, Movemint is on a mission to make athletic event discovery, sign-up, and results easy and fun.

The round was led by Underscore VC with participation from Fitt Capital and Kiwi Fitness Co-founder Olia Birulia.

“The millions of global event participants and hundreds of thousands of organizers deserve modern, connected software that adds to the event experience,” says Underscore Partner Brian Devaney. “We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Zack, Taylor, and the rest of the highly qualified team at Movemint as they build a new, modern platform for event management.”

Full sprint

This investment follows a strong start after the company launched in February. The money will be used to expand Movemint’s engineering and partnerships teams.

Taking the endurance event industry by storm, Movemint already supports the Golden Trail World Series Headlands 27k, Tracksmith Twilight 5000 global series, and the Boston Road Runners AAPI 5k series, among others.

“Because Movemint is a startup that’s looking to take on the bigger fish in the industry, they know they need to be super customer-focused and quick moving in ways that some other platforms can’t be,” said Jeffrey Stern, race director for the Headlands 27k.

Stacking features

Winning over organizers and athletes alike, Movemint’s modern platform, beautifully designed event pages, and streamlined checkout flows help races increase registrations and donations.

Organizers can also add photos, videos, social links, sponsors, custom registration questions, donation goals, and much more.

“If you’ve ever signed up for an event, you know that it’s a broken experience. We want to change that,” said Isaacs.

Movemint also excels in event admin. The platform pays event organizers daily to eliminate setup costs. Timers can easily integrate participant data, scoring, and results. Large organizers can utilize advanced features like Movemint’s API and custom styling.

Scaling up

With the fresh pre-seed funding, Movemint has hired Julia Jaschke as a Founding Software Engineer. Jaschke worked alongside Isaacs at Strava, where she led engineering efforts on routes, messaging, challenges, the feed, and AI.

“We’re excited to grow the team and serve organizers, timers, and athletes with an amazing product that the athletic community deserves,” said Isaacs. Movemint will continue to invest in building out its engineering and partnerships teams as the product gains traction.
