National Academy of Sports Medicine and Crunch Fitness Announce Interview Guarantee Partnership for NASM-Certified Personal Trainers

The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), a global leader in fitness and wellness certifications, today announced a new Interview Guarantee Program with Crunch Fitness, one of the world’s fastest-growing and most innovative fitness brands. The agreement guarantees NASM Certified Personal Trainers (NASM-CPT) a first-round interview for open personal trainer positions across Crunch’s U.S. corporate and franchise locations. The partnership expands NASM’s Interview Guarantee program launched earlier this year and marks the program’s first expansion to a franchise system.

The agreement reflects NASM’s broader commitment to closing the gap between the supply of credentialed trainers and growing employer demand. Rather than ending its support at certification, NASM is building direct interview pathways between qualified trainers and leading employers across the fitness industry. That opportunity is significant and growing according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of fitness trainers and instructors is projected to grow 12% from 2024 to 2034 – about four times faster than the average for all occupations – with roughly 74,200 openings projected each year over the decade.

Under the agreement, individuals who have earned and maintained their NCCA-accredited NASM-CPT credential are guaranteed a first-round interview for open personal trainer positions at Crunch’s U.S. corporate and franchise locations. To participate, candidates apply through Crunch’s official careers site and indicate their NASM certification status during the application process. The program guarantees an initial interview opportunity only; it does not guarantee advancement to subsequent stages of the hiring process or an offer of employment.

NASM-CPT trainers who move through the hiring process will have the opportunity to join a brand built around Crunch’s “No Judgments” philosophy, a fitness community welcoming people of all backgrounds and fitness goals, brought together through distinctive group fitness classes and diverse programming.
