Neat, the performance apparel brand known for patented sweat-hiding technology, will appear on ABC’s “Shark Tank” in Season 18 on Wednesday, November 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The episode will also stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

Neat’s sweat protection comes in the form of a two-part system covered by two U.S. utility patents. A water-repelling outer layer stops sweat from coming through, and underneath it a “Sweat Maze” of water-repelling and water-attracting zones pulls moisture inward and spreads it across the shirt’s interior, where it dries faster. Conventional moisture-wicking shirts push sweat to the outside causing dark patches, while Neat keeps moisture inside so it doesn’t show. The technology came out of National Science Foundation–funded research and was originally developed for military personnel, firefighters and first responders.

Coinciding with the “Shark Tank” airing, Neat will introduce the Sweat Defender Crew, a new premium sweat-proof shirt designed to deliver enhanced performance. Priced at $59.99, the Sweat Defender Crew features premium materials and new color options, expanding Neat’s offerings for customers who want to feel confident, even when sweat threatens to show.

“Most men have a sweat strategy, and it’s usually wearing black and hoping for the best,” said Jim Huffman, CEO of Neat. “We created Neat to change that with our patented Sweat Maze technology that captures and disperses sweat on the interior of the garment making it invisible to others. We’re excited to share our story and launch the new, premium Sweat Defender Crew via Shark Tank allowing us to reach a national audience.”

Huffman and COO Tyler Stelter began working on Neat in 2024. The brand has grown quickly through word of mouth, social media and customer reviews. In 2025, net sales grew more than 300% over the prior year, and Neat has surpassed $1 million in sales over the past 12 months. The momentum reflects growing demand for performance apparel that solves everyday problems without compromising appearance.

The company’s growth has unfolded alongside a deeply personal challenge for Huffman. In 2025, while leading Neat’s expansion, he and his family supported then 5-year-old daughter, Wren, through pediatric cancer treatment. After chemotherapy and life-changing surgery, Wren rang the bell in February 2026 to mark that she was cancer-free. For Huffman, the journey from the cancer floor to national television represents a milestone shaped by both extraordinary challenges and perseverance.

While the brand has established itself with sweat-hiding tees, its ambitions extend well beyond a single product. Neat is developing a broader lineup of apparel designed to bring its patented sweat-management technology to more products, occasions and customers in the near future.

Viewers can learn more about Neat’s brand story by tuning in to “Shark Tank” on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 10pm ET/PT and view the complete lineup of sweat-proof apparel, including the Classic and new Sweat Defender Crew, at neatapparel.com.
