OPS RUN Rebrands to Run Clubhouse, Bringing Its Digital Home for Run Clubs to Life During NYC Marathon Week

Following the successful debut of Clubhouse Radio, Run Clubhouse is expanding beyond its digital platform with two community experiences bringing together run clubs, runners and cultural voices in New York City.

Run Clubhouse, formerly known as OPS RUN, today announced its new identity alongside plans to bring its digital home for run clubs into the physical world during the 2026 New York City Marathon. The announcement follows the company’s September platform launch and the debut of its in-person Clubhouse Radio experience.

The rebrand reflects the company’s broader ambition to create a global home for run clubs that extends beyond digital infrastructure, connecting the technology that supports running communities with the culture, relationships and shared experiences that make them meaningful.

Run Clubhouse is built around a simple belief: run clubs deserve a home of their own, both online and in real life.

“Run clubs have become so much more than a place to meet for a run. They’re communities where people build relationships, share experiences and find a sense of belonging,” said Matty Christopherson, Co-Founder of Run Clubhouse. “We started by building the digital infrastructure these communities needed. But our vision has always been bigger than technology. We want to create a home that brings running culture together, wherever people connect.”

From Digital Platform to Cultural Gathering Place

Launched in September, the all-in-one digital platform was designed specifically for run club founders, organizers and runners. It provides tools to organize runs, manage registrations, communicate with members and support sustainable communities, while making it easier for runners to discover and connect with clubs.

With more than 100 run clubs across 25+ North American cities at launch, the platform reflects growing demand for purpose-built infrastructure as running communities continue to expand.

Days after its launch, the company introduced its first in-person Run Clubhouse experience at Runningman Festival in Rome, Georgia, creating a nostalgic, 1980s-inspired interview set for its original series, Clubhouse Radio.

The podcast-style experience generated nearly 30 interviews with guests including entrepreneur Sara Blakely, entrepreneur and endurance athlete Devon Lévesque, and ultrarunners Harvey Lewis and Andy Glaze, establishing Clubhouse Radio as an original interview series exploring the intersection of running, entrepreneurship and culture.

Supporting Run Clubs Through the Fall Marathon Season

Beyond its digital platform, Run Clubhouse has been supporting grassroots running communities throughout the fall marathon season, providing race-day kit funding for up to 10 run clubs in each of three markets: Chicago, Washington, D.C. and New York City.

These relationships are helping shape the company’s New York City Marathon activations, where participating run clubs will take the lead in hosting shakeout runs and bringing their communities together.

Run Clubhouse Comes to New York City Marathon Week

On Thursday, October 29, Run Clubhouse will take over Upside Pizza in SoHo, bringing together more than 10 run clubs for three organized shakeout waves throughout the evening.

The experience will unite local running communities and visiting marathon participants for group runs, pizza, music and shared experiences. Run Clubhouse’s nostalgic visual identity will be woven throughout the activation through branded touchpoints, merchandise and creative details, bringing the digital brand into the physical world.

Upside Pizza will also serve as the next recording location for Clubhouse Radio, with a new lineup of athletes, entrepreneurs and culturally influential guests joining the series to share their perspectives on running, community and life beyond sport.

On Friday, October 30, the experience will continue with the Run Clubhouse Pancake Social at Landmark Coffee Shop & Pancake House, a longstanding New York diner. From 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., runners, spectators and members of the broader community are invited to gather over complimentary protein pancakes powered by Equip, extending the clubhouse experience beyond organized runs and into the social traditions surrounding marathon weekend.

Both activations are free and designed to bring different running communities together, creating opportunities for connection beyond individual clubs, training groups and race-day participation.

Building a Home for Running Culture

As run clubs continue to shape how people experience fitness, wellness and social connection, Run Clubhouse is extending its mission beyond digital infrastructure through community experiences and original storytelling, creating new opportunities for runners, club founders, brands and cultural voices to come together in person.

The company’s digital platform remains free for clubs and runners, providing the operational tools organizers need without replacing the individual identity and culture of each community.

“We’re not trying to change what makes run clubs special,” said Christopherson. “We’re building the infrastructure and creating the experiences that help these communities thrive. Whether someone discovers a run club through our platform, joins a shakeout in New York or hears a story on Clubhouse Radio, we want them to feel like they’re part of something bigger.”
