ROXFIT today launched ROXFIT Ultra, an optional premium experience that helps HYROX athletes understand their performance and make training feel more like race day. Built on two pillars, Athlete IQ and Compete, Ultra combines deeper analysis of an athlete’s results with new ways to race during workouts.
Nearly 600,000 athletes use ROXFIT to follow races, analyse results and prepare for their next event. Ultra builds on that foundation allowing users to compare performances, explore race trends, predict finish times and understand where they gain or lose time. Athlete IQ develops a fuller picture of each athlete, while Compete brings competition into the sessions between race days. Nearly 20,000 athletes preregistered for Ultra ahead of launch.
Compete turns training into racing, something that’s never been possible from a HYROX athlete’s phone before. Athletes can race a previous effort and see their progress against it in real time on their watch, take on a friend’s result for the same workout, and see where they rank on leaderboards against friends and the wider ROXFIT community. Workouts contribute to a persistent Ultra Level, while Challenges give athletes another goal to train towards.
Athlete IQ turns race history into a level of insight HYROX athletes have never had access to. It gives athletes predicted race and station times, personalised pacing informed by their own data, and a clearer view of where they gain and lose time across races. It also tracks longer-term trends and highlights strengths and areas for improvement, helping athletes build a more complete understanding of their performance. For doubles athletes, it provides pacing guidance tailored to both partners.
The experience was built by a team that brings together HYROX athletes, data scientists, software engineers and product specialists.
“We’ve spent two years building the digital experience we wanted as hybrid athletes,” said Ben Wilson, Co-Founder and CEO of ROXFIT. “Ultra feels like a defining moment for us. It brings the performance insight athletes already value in ROXFIT together with new ways to challenge themselves and each other, making training more engaging and better preparation for race day.”
“ROXFIT has helped athletes break down their race results in detail,” said Joey Allott, Co-Founder and CMO of ROXFIT. “The next step is to bring those results together into a fuller picture of the athlete: where they’re strong, where they can improve and how they’re progressing. With Compete alongside Athlete IQ, that insight becomes part of a more motivating training experience.”
ROXFIT has partnered with Pliability on its first global Challenge to mark the launch.
ROXFIT Ultra launches on 1 October 2026. It is an optional premium experience alongside the free ROXFIT app. More information is available at ultra.roxfit.app.
