STRONG Pilates, the global fitness franchise known for its unique blend of Pilates with cardio and strength training, has unveiled the next phase of its ‘More Than Pilates’ brand campaign, focused on the brand’s unique fitness format and enhanced programming.
Backed by industry experts and member insights, the approach delves into the science and strategy behind the workout, highlighting the programming framework and expertise of the brand’s Academy-trained instructors – the foundations that turn the brand promise into real results for members.
Extensive member surveys completed over the past 18 months reveal that while programming is the number one reason people choose STRONG, nearly half of respondents were unaware that the workout was deliberately structured around progressive overload – a key differentiator rarely seen in traditional Pilates routines. Using STRONG’s exclusive Rowformer and Bikeformer machines, workouts are programmed to progressively increase resistance and intensity in a controlled, measurable way. The result is a training experience that offers strength, fitness and mobility gains over time for maximum results.
Co-founder of STRONG Pilates, Michael Ramsey, said that the campaign approach was indicative of STRONG’s commitment to understanding what their members need from their workout.
“STRONG is built around what our members want, need and value. It’s about creating a program with intention, and one that will show results through consistent training. We know our members love Pilates combined with strength training, but want to balance out the cardio. This next phase is about delivering on that ask with precision and continually challenging our community to come back for more.”
To support this evolution, STRONG restructured its internal programming team and invested in a four‑week STRONG Academy development series to upskill its instructors, consulting with experts across Pilates and strength and conditioning. The process resulted in STRONG’s most progressive programming model to date, including the introduction of over 100 new exercises to challenge members in the new year.
A new six‑category class structure will follow a 12‑week rotation sequence designed to maximize progressive overload and provide ongoing variety for members in line with their feedback.
STRONG’s new six-class structure is now live across all studios and includes:
- NEW: STRONG 360: Brings together all the elements of STRONG: Pilates, strength, and cardio, in one dynamic, full-body session. Each week brings a new challenge designed to deliver variety and results.
- NEW: Pilates Strength: A refined blend of traditional Pilates and strength-based movements, performed in controlled, deliberate sequences – all without cardio.
- Pilates Only: A fusion of dynamic movements and controlled Pilates flows with the use of props to deepen muscle engagement.
- STRONG Body: Balanced full-body Pilates-inspired training paired with cardio bursts. Each session will push limits and build your strength, mobility, and endurance.
- STRONG Loaded: Built for progress and designed around true progressive overload, using heavy springs, dumbbells and controlled tempo to maximize time-under-tension and lean muscle.
- STRONG Starter: A focused session designed to help first-timers master the Rowformer and Bikeformer and feel confident training the STRONG way. *Available only at select studios.
The marketing campaign in partnership with creative production agency House of Groms is now live, balancing humor with education to communicate the what of STRONG’s programming, and more importantly, the why.
