Sworkit, the whole-person wellbeing platform for employers, health plans, and wellbeing partners, today launched Sworkit Move, a significant expansion of its musculoskeletal (MSK) care. Sworkit has long helped members move, recover, and prevent injury; Sworkit Move deepens that into clinically designed pathways and licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy, now reaching higher-acuity needs in one of the most common and most expensive areas of health.
Most digital MSK solutions, the Sword, Hinge, and Kaia model, are designed for the small share of people with the highest-acuity needs, often those already considering surgery, at premium prices. That leaves the far larger group with real, everyday pain underserved. Sworkit Move is built for the whole population: clinically designed pathways for members working through a specific condition, plus prevention, mobility, and conditioning for everyone else, all in one platform.
“For years, buyers have been asked to pay some of the highest prices in digital health to reach the smallest slice of their people,” said Ryan Hanna, Chief Executive Officer of Sworkit Health. “Sworkit Move flips that. We take the person with real, everyday pain seriously, give them a clinically designed path forward with licensed human support, and keep them moving long after the acute episode ends.”
What Sworkit Move includes
Condition pathways span the most common sources of pain, from the low back, neck, shoulder, hip, and knee to the foot, ankle, elbow, wrist, and pelvic floor, with support for women’s health needs such as postpartum recovery. Each pathway follows a three-phase clinical progression, moving members from Relief to Rebuild to Strengthen through short guided sessions of a few minutes a day. Every pathway is designed and reviewed by licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy, and every member is screened for clinical red flags at intake. Sworkit Move will also offer optional, camera-based motion tracking that gives members real-time feedback on their form and range of motion, using the camera they already have.
A whole-platform advantage
The bet is on engagement. One in three people who sign up for Sworkit report dealing with pain somewhere in their body. Because Sworkit Move lives inside a platform that also offers more than 1,200 workouts, mindfulness, and nutrition in 16+ languages, the right movement becomes part of the daily routine instead of one more program people abandon, which is exactly where most standalone MSK tools lose people.
“Movement is one of the most effective things most people can do for everyday back, neck, and joint pain, but the hard part is doing it right, consistently,” Hanna said. “Because Sworkit Move lives inside a full movement and wellness experience rather than a standalone clinical program, the right movement becomes part of someone’s day. We built it for everyone who just wants to get through their day without their back or knee getting in the way, not just the few. Our goal is simple: help more people move well and feel better, every day.”
