Founder of 98 Training and the 98 Games, Chris Feather said, “it is a priviledge to witness how a once boutique, 98-member gym with an uncompromising vision has grown into a fitness ecosystem, bringing together people of all fitness levels from all over Australia to compete in a premium athlete experience. That experience is drawing teas from more than 50 gyms, from Tamworth to Melbourne, and tow in evry three came from outside of 98. At 98, team culture is paramount. The games are a direct extension of that belief: work for, and as a team.”
Elite Women’s Competitor Asia Harris added, “This is my first 98 Games and I don’t think I’ve ever left a competition feeling more inspired. Seeing so many athletes, but particularly the women pushing themselves, and the amount of support and community in one room was unlike anything I have experience before. The competition itself was unbelievable – it felt like we were professional athletes.”
Launched in 2025, the 98 Games is a premium fitness competition designed to test the strength, capacity and teamwork of four-person teams over a relentless 98-minute clock. This weekend, the event welcomed 600 competitors back to the floor.
Feather added, “With hundreds of loyal, long-standing members increasingly committed to their fitness, the 98 Games gives our community a premium platform to test themselves. It directly extends the training our members do in the gym every single day. We’re looking forward to continuing to elevate the professional athlete experience for those who come to compete in the 98 Games.”
98 is not like other gyms. We are built on a simple, uncompromising philosophy: performance over aesthetics. Founded in 2010 by former professional athlete Chris Feather, 98 Gym was born out of a desire to create a training environment that replicated the discipline, effectiveness and team culture of elite-level training. 98 was built from there, and has made that environment accessible to everyone – from professional athletes to the everyday high performers.
