UBX [pronounced You-Box], the world’s fastest-growing boxing and strength franchise, has officially unveiled its most significant model evolution since its inception. Co-founded by four-time world champion boxer Danny Green and tech entrepreneur Tim West, the brand is redefining the boutique fitness landscape by introducing dedicated “Strength Zones” and a sophisticated hybrid training model.

The evolution marks an extension of their flexible group training model to a comprehensive “one-stop” fitness solution. The new model integrates four core pillars:

  1. The Signature UBX Workout: The world-class, coach-guided boxing and strength circuit.
  2. Unmatched Flexibility: Flexible start times for coach led sessions and 24/7 access to follow the UBX workout during unstaffed times.
  3. The Strength Zone: A dedicated, 24/7 access space for structured lifting, featuring barbells, cables, and smith machines.
  4. Personalised Progress: Enhanced one-on-one and small-group Personal Training (PT) pathways.

Buderim Leads the Global Pilot

The first global pilot of this evolved model has launched at UBX Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, led by 10-year UBX veterans Lee Brabin and Chinta Demasson. As one of the original franchisees from 2016, the Buderim team has transitioned into a larger, state-of-the-art facility to house the first-ever Strength Zone.

“Lee and Chinta have always set the gold standard for community and culture,” said Michael Jordan, CEO of UBX. “It was a natural fit for them to lead this pilot. We’ve combined the community energy of group training with the flexibility of a 24/7 gym and the results-driven nature of a PT studio. Members can now truly curate their own perfect workout experience on their own timetable.”

Upgrading the Global Network

While the new “Zones” represent the future of new club build-outs and major expansions, UBX is simultaneously rolling out significant strength-focused upgrades across its existing global network. This ensures that every member, regardless of their location, benefits from the brand’s commitment to elite-level strength and conditioning programming and the latest in sports science.

“Elite fighters don’t just box; they follow genuine strength programs to perform at their peak,” said Co-founder Danny Green. “We started UBX to give everyone the opportunity to train like a boxer. This evolution takes that promise further, giving our members more choice, more equipment, and more ways to hit their goals.”

A New Benchmark for Franchisees

From a business perspective, the evolved model provides UBX franchisees with a powerful competitive edge. By offering 24/7 “self-serve” access alongside premium PT services, clubs can drive higher membership yields and passive revenue streams without significantly increasing staffing costs. This positions UBX to compete across both the high-touch boutique market and the traditional 24/7 gym sector.

As UBX continues its rapid expansion across Australia, New Zealand, UAE, Singapore, UK, Ireland, USA, Japan, and beyond, the “Strength Zone” model will become a central pillar of its global growth strategy.
