upLYFT, the Movement Intelligence company has launched the A1, its first commercial product. A Performance Track Band for athletes who train hard enough to need real answers about their body, the A1 analyses, profiles and contextualises how the entire lower body moves, outside a lab.
The last decade of performance technology tracked heart rate, sleep, recovery scores and stress. upLYFT does it differently. Movement is the most fundamental marker of physical health, and it’s the one thing nobody has measured directly. No two bodies move the same. No two injuries sit in the same place. No two athletes should train off the same generic number.
The A1 is engineered as a second skin, not a patch or a ring sampling one point on the body. Built with embedded biomechanical sensors across the hip, knee and ankle, covering the chain where major injuries such as hamstring and ACL injuries actually happen. In under 30 seconds, an athlete has the capability of an elite performance lab on their legs, with no need for markers, cameras or expensive bookings. Using AI trained on that data, it builds each athlete’s unique Movement Fingerprint, a live picture of how they move that gets sharper the more they use it, flagging issues before they turn into an injury or a performance loss.
“What we are really trying to build is the future of preventative physical health. By understanding movement as a biomarker, we understand the fundamentals instead of proxies like stress levels, sleep or heart rate. Elite athlete technology has always lived behind labs. We built the Track A1 to change that, so anyone serious about their physical health can understand their own biomechanics and train accordingly, to prevent injuries and train to their highest level.”

upLYFT Labs will be the first place Founding Members, can exclusively trial the product and purchase ahead of shipping in November 2026. Much like a gait analysis test helps a runner choose the right pair of trainers, upLYFT Labs offers first time exposure to Movement Intelligence as new standard for athletes where they can see in real time their quality, form and technique. While the athlete runs in the A1, MIA, upLYFT’s movement agent, tracks load symmetry, power, quality and overall efficiency, flagging early signs of injury risk before they become one.
Through AI-enhanced algorithms and longitudinal analysis, the A1 builds a movement Baseline from the runner’s own body, rather than fitting them into standard categories.
Everyone has a different optimal state and a different tolerance to fatigue, which changes what it takes to improve performance while reducing injury risk. MIA is built around understanding each runner’s unique Movement Fingerprint, on the run and in the training between sessions, to support customised training and a longer, more sustainable athletic career.
