Veracity, a modern metabolic health company focused on addressing the root causes of metabolic dysfunction, today announced the closing of a $6 million funding round led by Maveron and Melitas Ventures. The funding will fuel Veracity’s product innovation, scientific research, and customer education, further cementing its leadership in the rapidly growing metabolic health space. To support this effort, the company has appointed Dr. Giorgio Dell’Acqua as Chief Science Officer. With a PhD in Cell Biology and more than 25 years of experience in the personal care and wellness industries—including leadership roles in innovation at Nutrafol—Dr. Dell’Acqua will oversee the advancement of Veracity’s R&D pipeline and product development strategy.

Veracity was founded to fill a critical gap in the wellness landscape, where consumers are often left navigating vague symptoms and ineffective treatments. Inspired by founder Allie Egan’s personal health journey with Hashimoto’s, a metabolic disease, the brand was built to provide individuals with clear, evidence-based solutions that support sustainable health and vitality.

“This marks a pivotal next step in our mission to redefine metabolic health,” says Egan, “Veracity was born from my own journey navigating a metabolic health condition and the lack of real, root-cause solutions available. What began as a personal challenge has become a movement, and this funding will propel our momentum and continued rapid growth.”

Central to Veracity’s offering is Metabolism Ignite, a clinically backed, natural supplement gaining rapid traction as a powerful, drug-free, solution for healthy weight loss. The supplement has sky-rocketed Veracity’s business growing >30x in the last 18 months. The product is meeting a desperate consumer need – a study published by the NIH indicates that 93% of people in the U.S. are metabolically unhealthy, and the WHO estimates that over 1.9 billion adults worldwide are overweight, with 650 million classified as obese.

“Veracity addresses two major macro trends we are looking at as Maveron.” says Jason Stoffer, a partner at Maveron, “One is the rise of drugs like Ozempic, by which Americans are addressing their metabolic health en masse. Second is the fact that many people are looking for non-pharmaceutical solutions. What interested us here is Allie addresses both trends and has developed Veracity into the leader in non-pharma, plant-based products addressing metabolic health. Veracity has not only had some of the most impressive growth we’ve seen in the consumer category, it is backed by a team of doctors, CSO from Harvard (ex Nutrafol), and the best product efficacy in the natural products space.”

As demand surges for more natural and sustainable health solutions, Veracity is uniquely positioned at the intersection of cutting-edge science and consumer-first wellness, with a platform built to empower individuals at every stage of their health journey.
