Virtuagym Expands Virtuagym Pay With Integrated Card Terminals

The new integration lets fitness businesses accept in-person card payments from within Virtuagym and link each transaction to memberships, invoices, services, or retail sales, reducing manual steps and making day-to-day operations easier.

Virtuagym, global provider of the leading all-in-one software solution for the fitness industry, is expanding Virtuagym Pay, its integrated payment solution, with a new range of connected card terminals. Virtuagym already enables fitness businesses to manage payments within the Virtuagym ecosystem and continues to expand the payment methods available to operators.

With this new integration, gyms, studios, and trainers can manage in-person card payments directly from Virtuagym. This means payments become part of everyday processes such as memberships, invoices, services, or retail sales, without staff having to check separate steps or manually reconcile payments afterwards.

The solution makes it possible to initiate payments from the point of sale (POS) or from an invoice inside the software, complete the payment on the terminal, and automatically link the transaction to the right member, service, product, or invoice. This keeps the payment connected to the real operational flow of the business.

The goal is to solve a common problem in the fitness sector: card terminals that operate separately from the management software. When that happens, staff need to switch between systems, review payments manually, and spend more time matching transactions, creating more room for errors and more friction at the front desk.

The new offer is designed to fit different ways of working across the fitness market. It includes fixed terminals for front desk setups, mobile terminals for more flexible in-club payments, and lighter options for smaller operators. It also includes solutions such as tap terminal and tap app, allowing businesses to accept card payments and digital wallets from different devices.

This creates value across many day-to-day moments. For example, a gym can take payment for a membership or training package at reception without leaving the Virtuagym platform. A boutique studio can complete a sale right after class. Or a personal trainer can charge for a session on the spot, without having to send an invoice later or follow up on payment manually.

“With this expansion of Virtuagym Pay, we want in-person payments to become a natural part of our customers’ daily operations,” said Hugo Braam, CEO and co-founder of Virtuagym. “By connecting terminals, software, and transactions in one single flow, we help reduce manual work, speed up payment collection, and turn more in-person interactions into real revenue.”

With this launch, Virtuagym continues to strengthen its vision of a connected platform where management, payments, coaching, and member experience work together. In this context, card terminals are not positioned as standalone hardware, but as an integrated part of business operations, connected to payments, services, memberships, invoices, and sales flows inside the Virtuagym ecosystem.
