Just nine months after launch, Vivi Labs has become the first coffee product available on the Flex Marketplace with a pathway for qualifying customers to use HSA/FSA funds with a Letter of Medical Necessity.
The milestone comes as Vivi rapidly expands from functional coffee into a broader omnichannel wellness company, with growing distribution across direct-to-consumer, marketplaces, retail, and strategic partners.
For Vivi, the Flex rollout is another important step in meeting customers where they already shop, spend, and manage their healthcare dollars.
“As we’ve grown, one of our biggest priorities has been making Vivi easier to access,” said Stefan Hertzberg, Co-Founder and CEO of Vivi Labs. “In nine short months, we’ve expanded rapidly across channels, and HSA/FSA was an obvious next step. Millions of consumers already have dollars specifically set aside for their health, and being able to meet qualifying customers there is incredibly important.”
Vivi was founded around a simple idea: the best wellness routine is one people can actually stick to.
Rather than asking consumers to add more pills, powders, and complicated protocols to their day, Vivi integrates functional ingredients into products and rituals they already use consistently. Its flagship Longevity Coffee+ combines organic Arabica coffee with supplemental ingredients including NAD+ precursors, hydrolyzed collagen, and antioxidants.
Coffee is only the beginning.
Vivi is building a broader portfolio of functional products across longevity, beauty, performance, and everyday wellness, all centered around the same principle: make high-quality nutrition easier to adopt and easier to maintain. Much of this will begin to rollout over the next few months.
Expanding Access Through Flex
Through Flex, qualifying customers can complete a short health assessment reviewed by a licensed provider. If they qualify, they may receive a Letter of Medical Necessity allowing eligible Vivi purchases to be made using HSA/FSA funds.
Regular coffee itself is not an HSA/FSA-eligible expense. Eligibility depends on the customer’s individual health needs, Vivi’s supplemental ingredients, and the appropriate supporting documentation.
“We believe healthcare spending is moving closer to everyday wellness,” Hertzberg said. “Consumers are becoming more proactive about how they invest in their health, and we want Vivi to be part of that shift.”
The Flex partnership gives Vivi another meaningful channel to expand access as the company continues to scale its product portfolio and distribution.
