Global natural health lifestyle brand Vivobarefoot launches its most flexible barefoot footwear to date in the Motus Flex. The Motus Flex has been innovatively designed with minimum structure, crafted with a one-piece knitted sock upper with a thin and decoupled sole, to create an elevated sensory experience.

The Motus Flex is available from for $190 starting Tuesday, June 4th.

Asher Clark, Vivobarefoot’s Chief Design Officer (and Co-Founder) says: “The Motus Flex is optimized with freedom and flexibility, for super-natural movement. The Flex has our most flexible outsole and mimics how your feet move, allowing them to function properly by providing minimal interference. Crafted for the purest connection, the Motus Flex allows you to feel the sensation of every movement.”

With its light weight (of 280g) and thin, super flexible outsole with a knitted upper, the Motus Flex is primed for agility and flow through dynamic movement.

The Motus Flex joins the Vivobarefoot’s Motus range, alongside the number one barefoot brands’ bestselling footwear, the Motus Strength. The Motus Strength is optimized for high impact during intense workouts, whilst the Motus Flex is great for natural movement enthusiasts, bodyweight enthusiasts and those who practice calisthenics.

Functional Podiatrist Rina Harris, says: “Natural foot movement emphasizes the importance of good biomechanics, posture and alignment. Minimal footwear is designed to mimic the natural shape of the foot, enhancing toe splay and restoring foot and ankle function. Studies have shown that engaging in natural movement patterns with minimal footwear strengthens the muscles of the feet and legs, as well as improve joint mobility and balance. Strong, healthy feet have a positive influence on how we move, exercise and perform and decrease the likelihood of common foot and ankle injuries. Conventional shoes restrict your feet and body from moving well and through full range therefore, reducing muscle strength, sensory feedback and coordination.”

In a study conducted in 2021 on the impact of minimal footwear on foot strength*, the results showed that wearing minimal shoes (Vivobarefoot in the case of this research) for six months, even for non-intensive daily activities, increases foot strength by, on average, 57.4%.

Vivobarefoot is also offering access to a host of movement and biomechanics courses with every purchase via their online health platform, VivoHealth.
