WellCon, a wellness platform and network built around credential verification, announced the launch of its platform today. WellCon connects consumers with health and wellness information and professionals whose credentials have been reviewed and confirmed, giving people a clear answer to a common question: who can I trust?

WellCon was founded by Katharine Sawyer, a former college football staffer, certified personal trainer, and nutrition coach who has spent eight years working inside the health and fitness industry and helping wellness professionals grow and scale their businesses.

“The wellness space has a trust problem,” said Sawyer. “Consumers can’t tell who or what to trust, so they end up following and buying from whoever is loudest online. Meanwhile, credentialed professionals who did the work to get licensed or certified are struggling to be seen, let alone trusted. WellCon exists to close that gap. Every professional on the platform has been vetted, and every consumer can use it for free.”

How The Vetting Works

Each professional who joins WellCon must upload their license, certification, or degree. The WellCon team reviews the issuing body to confirm it is accredited and meets the platform’s standards, then cross-references the credential against the professional’s stated scope of practice.

Once approved, the professional builds a profile inside WellCon. Before the profile is published, the team reviews it a second time to confirm the services and claims listed match the approved credential and scope of practice. Most applicants complete the process within 24 to 48 hours.

The professional network spans 12 categories:

  • Mental health coaching and wellness
  • Licensed therapy and counseling
  • Nutrition
  • Fitness and movement
  • Holistic and natural health
  • Hormone health
  • Functional and integrative medicine
  • Life coaching and personal development
  • Fertility and reproductive health
  • Pregnancy, postpartum, and new parenthood
  • Massage and bodywork
  • Chiropractic and physical therapy

How Consumers Use WellCon

Access to WellCon is free for consumers. Visitors can read articles and publications from WellCon Approved professionals, attend virtual workshops and events, and search the professional network directly. Consumers who prefer guidance can submit a matching request, and the WellCon team will pair them with a professional suited to their needs.

Many professionals on the platform offer a free introductory session. Consumers pay only if they choose to work with a specific professional.

At launch, WellCon’s professional network includes 60 practitioners and coaches based across the United States and Canada. The majority work virtually and can serve clients in any location. Professionals holding state-specific licenses serve clients within their licensed jurisdiction, either in person or virtually.

Beginning in fall 2026, WellCon will host virtual workshops and events led by WellCon Approved professionals, giving consumers direct access to verified expertise on topics across all 12 health and wellness categories.

Founding Members

Founding members cite the platform’s qualification standard as the reason they joined.

“We certified professionals often get overlooked for someone who has a huge following on social media with absolutely no credentials, who, quite honestly, is likely selling a product that is a quick fix,” said Tracy Carey, a certified nutrition coach based in Hawaii.

“I joined WellCon because I love the idea of building a community around credentialed providers and giving people a trusted place to find high-quality expertise beyond what they happen to come across on social media,” said Calie Calabrese, an Integrative Health Practitioner and hormone and metabolic specialist based in Texas. “I’m also excited to connect with and learn from other providers who are building innovative practices.”
