Wellhub, the corporate wellbeing platform that connects employees to a global network of gyms, studios, and wellbeing apps, announces a new multi-year partnership with the Miami Open presented by Itaú, joining the tournament’s group of sponsors, as well as the renewal of its sponsorship of the Rio Open presented by Claro for the 2027, 2028, and 2029 editions. More than expanding its presence at two of the most prominent tennis tournaments in the Americas, the initiative aims to bring Wellhub closer to business leaders and put wellbeing and longevity at the center of corporate decision-making as strategic priorities for companies seeking sustainable results.
The decision to make tennis a key pillar of Wellhub’s brand strategy goes beyond the visibility offered by major tournaments. Recognized for its physical, mental, and emotional health benefits, the sport demands a combination of discipline, focus, resilience, and balance. Research has also linked playing tennis to significant gains in life expectancy. For Wellhub, this connection between longevity, wellbeing, and performance makes tennis a powerful platform for engaging executives and encouraging a shift in how companies care for their people.
“For Wellhub, major sporting events are much more than opportunities for brand visibility. They are platforms to strengthen relationships, drive business opportunities, and bring our purpose of promoting wellbeing to life,” says Leandro Caldeira, CMO of Wellhub. “Tennis brings together the best of both worlds. It is one of the sports most closely associated with longevity, requires physical, mental, and emotional balance, and has a strong connection with business leadership. By investing in tennis, we want to engage with executives who follow and play the sport and show them that the same dedication to wellbeing and longevity must become a non-negotiable priority within their organizations,” he adds.
The company’s investment in tennis also reflects growing interest in racket sports as a way to promote physical wellbeing, mental focus, and social connection. Tennis check-ins on Wellhub grew 85% year over year, building on sustained growth over the past two years. This momentum is also reflected in Wellhub’s partner network: the number of partners offering racket sports increased 37% year over year, while tennis-specific partners grew 22%, expanding access to the sport across key markets.
Wellhub’s presence at the Miami Open and Rio Open combines international brand visibility with relationship-building opportunities and experiences designed for clients, prospects, and business leaders. At both tournaments, the brand will be featured in high-visibility locations and premium hospitality areas, creating opportunities to deepen connections with executives and advance conversations about the role of wellbeing in building healthier, more productive, and more sustainable organizations.
At the Miami Open presented by Itaú, the company will expand its international presence and strengthen its position at one of the most important events on the global tennis calendar, connecting the brand with strategic audiences across different markets.
At the Rio Open, Wellhub will also continue sponsoring the tournament’s official gym, a dedicated space for players’ physical preparation.
The strategy is further reinforced by Wellhub’s partnership with Andre Agassi, one of the greatest players in tennis history and a global brand ambassador. An internationally recognized tennis icon, Agassi embodies values such as discipline, balance, and longevity, reinforcing Wellhub’s positioning and commitment to making wellbeing an essential part of a healthier, more active life while strengthening the brand’s connection to tennis across multiple markets.
The 2027 Miami Open presented by Itaú will be played March 14 – March 28 at Hard Rock Stadium. The 15-day event is owned and operated by MARI and Hard Rock Stadium. The Miami Open is one of nine ATP Masters 1000 Series events on the ATP calendar, a WTA 1000 event on the WTA calendar, and annually hosts the world’s best players, with recent champions including the top players in each tour’s rankings – Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek. In 2026, the tournament attracted more than 420,000 spectators over its 15 days at Hard Rock Stadium. Widely regarded as the most glamorous stop on the ATP and WTA calendars, the Miami Open is defined by the city’s vibrant culture, nightlife, five-star dining and hospitality, iconic beaches, and celebrity appeal, along with its close proximity to Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
