WHOOP, the human performance company, today announced a new multi-year partnership with Danish racing driver Alba Larsen. Driving for Scuderia Ferrari HP in the FIA-backed F1 Academy, Larsen is one of the most promising young talents in global motorsport and a favorite to win the title this year. Through this partnership, WHOOP will support Larsen with 24/7 physiological insights into sleep, recovery, strain and health- critical factors in a sport defined by extreme physical and cognitive demands.

At just 17-years-old, Larsen has quickly established herself as a force in single-seater racing. Known for her pace, composure under pressure, and analytical approach to performance, she represents the next generation of elite athletes redefining what’s possible in motorsport.

Despite starting karting later than many of her peers, Larsen’s rise has been meteoric. In 2023, she won the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars programme, a globally competitive initiative supported by the FIA and Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy to identify the most promising young female drivers. In 2025, she was named the inaugural winner of the FIA Women in Motorsport Award, recognising not only her on-track performance but also her impact as a role model helping to shape the future of the sport.

“Motorsport is one of the most physically and mentally demanding environments in sport, and Alba represents a new generation of drivers who understand that elite performance is built off the track as much as on it,” said John Sullivan, Chief Marketing Officer at WHOOP. “Through WHOOP, Alba gains a deeper understanding of how sleep, recovery, strain, and travel impact her readiness to perform at the highest level. We’re proud to partner with her not only as an exceptional athlete, but as a leader helping to expand access and opportunity for the next generation of women in motorsport.”

Motorsport places unique strain on the body, with intense cardiovascular load, heat exposure, travel fatigue, and sustained mental focus all playing a role in race-day readiness. WHOOP provides real-time insights that support Larsen’s data-led approach to preparation, helping her understand how factors like sleep, recovery, and travel impact performance on track.

“WHOOP doesn’t just help me push performance, it helps me protect it,” said Alba of the partnership. From sleep to recovery, their insights keep me sharp in and out of the car and their genuine support for G.I.R.L. really stood out to me. They’re as committed to empowering the next generation as they are to elite performance.”

Central to the partnership is Larsen’s commitment to expanding access to motorsport for girls through G.I.R.L. (Girls International Racing Lab), her initiative focused on early exposure, confidence-building, and breaking down barriers to entry in one of the most male-dominated sports globally. WHOOP will support selected G.I.R.L. events as part of the partnership, aligning with its belief that performance is unlocked through education, insight, and long-term support.

Beyond competition, Larsen is also emerging as a cultural figure within sport. She has appeared as a cover star and global ambassador for Tommy Jeans, reflecting her growing influence at the intersection of elite performance, youth culture, and modern femininity; while remaining firmly rooted in serious competition.

The WHOOP × Alba Larsen partnership will span three years, with Larsen serving as a global WHOOP ambassador as her career continues to scale on the world stage.
