ZenoWell will present Luna Plus at Sleep Europe 2026 in Maastricht on October 20-23, at Booth A75. Luna Plus is a drug-free, connected system with three parts: an ear-worn transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) device, the Zenoband Mobi wearable, and the AI Coach in the ZenoWell App. Together, they pair bedtime stimulation with overnight tracking and personalized guidance. The system draws on published vagus nerve stimulation research.
Falling asleep involves a shift from the sympathetic “fight-or-flight” state toward the parasympathetic “rest-and-digest” state. The vagus nerve is a major pathway of the parasympathetic system, and one branch of it reaches the outer ear. The taVNS technique applies mild electrical stimulation to this branch and is being studied for its potential to support relaxation and a calmer transition toward sleep.
ZenoWell built Luna Plus around its Track, Understand, and Improve approach. The three parts form a continuous feedback loop rather than a one-way sequence, designed to help users refine their sleep routine over time.
1. Track: Zenoband Mobi, or compatible wearables such as Apple Watch, Oura Ring, and WHOOP, record heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and sleep stages. The ZenoWell App shows:
- Changes in HR and HRV Before, During, and After taVNS Stimulation
- Sleep score and duration, including REM sleep, deep sleep, core sleep, and awake time
- Daily, weekly, monthly, and longer-term HR, HRV, and sleep trend”
2. Understand: The ZenoWell AI Coach is a multimodal assistant powered by retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and a curated database of vagus nerve research. Each morning, it gives a breakdown of the previous night’s sleep. It combines wearable metrics and Luna Plus session logs with daily context, such as late dinners or travel, and with self-reported check-ins such as “feeling drained.” The aim is to help people see what may be affecting their sleep and whether consistent use is linked to changes over time.
3. Improve: Users wear the Luna Plus device on the left ear for 20 minutes before bed. Sleep Mode delivers targeted taVNS electrical pulses to the auricular branch of the vagus nerve, aiming to support parasympathetic activity, reduce autonomic hyperarousal and help the body and mind settle before sleep. Based on extensive clinical and foundational research, Sleep Mode alternates between stimulation frequencies of 4 Hz and 20 Hz, with a nominal pulse width of 200 microseconds (Zhang et al., 2024). The AI Coach then draws on recent sleep data and longer-term patterns to suggest personalized next steps, helping users refine their bedtime routines over time.
Together, Luna Plus, Zenoband Mobi and ZenoWell AI Coach connect bedtime stimulation with overnight tracking and As a connected system, the Luna Plus Set helps users wind down, understand what shapes their sleep, and improve their sleep over time.
