The Bloodwork Arms Race

Prevention gets competitive.
Preparing to give a blood test
Parsley Health

Parsley Health is testing a new approach.

What’s happening: The root cause medicine platform launched Longevity Labs, a 100-marker blood panel for women, scoring biological age alongside metabolic, hormonal, and inflammatory markers.

Screen time. Serving 50K patients to date—80% of whom are women—labs have long been central to Parsley’s proactive model.

Decoupling diagnostics from its full membership, it hopes to surface overlooked issues sooner, while converting patients for ongoing care plans. Of note, male-focused longevity labs are in the pipeline.

Same vein. The front door to functional medicine, comprehensive bloodwork is becoming standard practice — with considerable parity.

As Function and Superpower compete on price, Parsley will go up against Midi Health and Tia — both unveiling diagnostics-led female longevity programs this year.

A hitch, most platforms rely on Quest and Labcorp for fulfillment. As legacy labs add DTC businesses of their own, simply building sleek interfaces atop their data won’t be enough — outcomes will be the true differentiator.

Looking ahead: Labwork often raises more questions than answers. Building UX-first test-track-treat programs, brands like Parsley Health are racing to complete the puzzle.
