Third Space is upsizing, again.

What’s happening: The UK-based premium gym will open on London’s Oxford Street in 2027 — becoming the largest fitness club in the iconic retail destination.

Spanning three floors, the 30K-square-foot flagship will feature multi-functional training spaces and studios, plus recovery rooms with hydro pools, Himalayan salt saunas, and cryotherapy.

Upping the pace. Founded in 2011, Third Space counts 35K members across 13 clubs — all in London. Backed by equity firm KSL, the chain has doubled its footprint post-pandemic, racking up £100M in revenue in 2023.

Targeting growth, it opened four premium clubs in residential areas last year while envisioning up to 30 LDN sites and international expansion.

Home base. Scaling methodically, the operator is taking an “expand and enhance” approach.

  • Last year, it scaled its reformer Pilates studios to more sites and launched health screening, bloodwork, and contrast therapy in select clubs.
  • Entering new neighborhoods, Third Space will open in West London’s former department store Whiteleys this year.
  • Launching in April, its upgraded Mayfair club will deliver double the training space and a high-tech Performance Lab.

Looking ahead: Pushing the pace on expansion, Third Space is staking its claim in the UK’s capital. With growing waitlists at many clubs, it’s capitalizing on the momentum.
