Urban Sports Club Acquires myClubs

Urban Sports Club

Urban Sports Club is scaling.

What’s happening: The Berlin-based corporate wellness platform acquired myClubs, a fitness aggregator in Austria and Switzerland. The deal adds 1.2K studios to its 11K network, strengthening its foothold in the DACH region.

Scaling up. Already present in Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, and Belgium, USC targeted Austria after raising €95M in 2023.

Enhancing its B2B offering and consumer app, the deal will fast-track expansion and improve operational efficiency. Of note, myClubs will remain a separate brand for now while USC pursues further market consolidation.

Putting in Work

Boosting employee engagement, the corporate wellness market is set to reach $102B by 2032, with USC battling other aggregators.

  • Germany’s EGYM bought the UK’s Hussle, adding to its B2B Wellpass program that serves 14.5K partners across Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, and the UK.
  • Following last year’s $85M round, Brazil’s Wellhub (fka Gympass) surpassed 500M check-ins and 3M subscribers.
  • Acquiring ClassPass and its corporate program in 2021, Mindbody plans to go public while hitting $500M in revenue this year.

Takeaway: As burnout intensifies, companies are racing to expand employee wellness programs. Beneficiaries, both aggregators and exercisers will hunt for more deals.
