Wearables are making sense of perimenopause.
What’s happening: Withings launched a new smartwatch, integrating women’s health app Clue to turn hormone health data into actionable insights.
Health sync. With a 35-day battery life and sensors tracking 35 biomarkers, the AI-powered ScanWatch 2 leverages Clue’s software to interpret period data and physiological changes associated with midlife.
Night shift. New heat-flux sensors monitor overnight temperature changes, while medical-grade ECG tech catches early signs of illness and fatigue. By detecting hormone shifts before symptoms appear, the device aims to help women decode menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, RED-S, and infertility.
Cycle OS. Stacking features, wearables are supporting women from conception through menopause. Ultrahuman and Oura now sync with Clue, and Oura also partnered with Maven Clinic and Progyny for clinician-guided care. Digging into data, WHOOP discovered a new reproductive health biomarker.
Punchline: As menopause goes mainstream, integrations and partnerships give healthtech companies an easy entry point into women’s health.
