Apple Health is getting up to speed.
What’s happening: The tech company unveiled new perimenopause and menopause features at its Worldwide Developers Conference.
Upgraded. With 2M women entering perimenopause each year, Apple is building on cycle-tracking with midlife support.
Beyond menstruation and fertility, Apple users can log perimenopause and menopause symptoms, access education, and track cycle changes over time, receiving physician referral as needed. Added support, the tech giant launched Strong Through Menopause on Fitness+, a progressive 3-week yoga and strength program.
Keeping up. Now tablestakes, Oura and WHOOP layered in perimenopause insights in 2025, and both are ramping up capabilities with a targeted women’s health AI coach and specialized bloodwork, respectively.
Digging deeper, insurgents Clair and Peri launched wristworn devices that track hormones and symptoms over time, while Braave is readying a health-tracking bra insert for women in midlife.
Punchline: Struggling to maintain its edge in health wearables, Apple is following in the footsteps of competitors with new features consumers have come to expect.
