Consumers are replacing optimization with regulation.

The latest: According to a Future Snoops x Spate report, burnout and digital fatigue are pushing consumers toward nature, energy healing, and spiritual self-care.

Find flow. Once considered fringe, energy healing reached 30.4M average monthly searches. As routines emphasizing regulation, circulation, and recovery enter mainstream wellness, lymphatic drainage grew 60.7% YoY and tai chi climbed 22.3%.

Touch grass. Nature is becoming preventative care, with 80% saying outdoor exposure boosts happiness and 74% reporting reduced stress and anxiety. Helping people reset, outdoor programs, green spaces, and biophilic design are emerging as antidotes to screen fatigue and overstimulation.

Tech support. Digital spirituality is accelerating, with “Etsy Witch” searches up 551%, “ChatGPT + Spiritual Energy” rising 311%, and AI therapy surging 922.5% YoY. From tarot apps and astrology tools to emotion trackers, consumers are using AI for reflection, emotional support, and self-discovery.

Punchline: As optimization culture loses followers, brands embracing Wellness 2.0 can usher in a new era of intuitive, regulating, and restorative well-being.
