Crunch Fitness has a new masterplan.
The news: The gym chain unveiled “Crunch 3.0,” a reimagined club design, in East Plano, Texas.
Setting the blueprint for new clubs and remodels, it’s upgrading the member experience.
- Expanded strength floor with free weights, machines, and Olympic lifting platforms
- Recovery zone with Hyperice products, red light therapy, and infrared sauna
- Modernized group fitness studios with option to add heated yoga, Pilates, and mobility
Window dressing. Eclipsing 3M members, the franchise is evolving to meet exercisers’ needs while pushing expansion and exploring a sale.
New demo. Across the industry, low-cost gym operators are investing in strength, self-care, and longevity modalities — with EoS scaling contrast therapy, Planet Fitness adding plate-loaded strength machines, and 24 Hour Fitness laying more turf.
Meanwhile, PureGym (aka Pure Fitness) will remodel newly acquired Blink locations, as Europe’s McFIT modernizes its network.
Punchline: A strong experience builds brand value while fighting churn. As operators across categories upgrade facilities, Crunch’s budget membership will deliver premium value.
