The line between elite performance and everyday wellness continues to disappear.

Samsung Introduces an AI Health Assistant

Samsung unveiled an AI-powered coach that combines data from Galaxy phones, watches, and smart rings to deliver personalized health guidance.

  • The assistant can answer questions about sleep, activity, nutrition, and recovery while factoring in context like travel schedules, calendar events, and connected home devices.
  • Samsung also added new cardiovascular features, including Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, Vascular Load, and expanded overnight health monitoring.

Part of its longer-term vision, the company is building a platform that connects wearable data directly with physicians to extend care between and beyond visits.

Cleveland Clinic and the NBPA Team Up on Performance Science

Cleveland Clinic and the National Basketball Players Association announced a partnership focused on athlete performance, health data, and innovation.

  • The collaboration begins at The Sanctuary, the NBPA’s offseason performance retreat in Spain, where players will have access to Cleveland Clinic’s sports performance research and expertise.
  • The organizations will also establish a committee with Sports Data Labs to explore athlete-owned data infrastructure, predictive performance insights, and new technology platforms.

Leveling the playing field, the partnership will also extend lessons from elite athletes into broader sports medicine and longevity programs via Cleveland Clinic’s upcoming Global Peak Performance Center.

The US Spa Industry Reaches Another Record

The International Spa Association reported that US spa revenue climbed to $23.5B in 2025, marking another industry high.

  • Visits reached 191M, nearly matching pre-pandemic levels, while average revenue per visit increased to $123.
  • Operators continue expanding beyond traditional treatments, adding services like LED therapy, head spas, and recovery-focused experiences to meet growing consumer demand.

Despite growth, staffing remains the industry’s biggest operational challenge, with many businesses balancing hiring pressures against continued expansion.
